Today Weddle was named to the Sporting News first-team All-American Team, the 6th team he's been named to since the Utes ended their regular season against BYU. The last Utah defensive first-team All-American was Luther Elliss back in 1994.

Weddle was also named 2nd Team AP All-American. He and the Utes are preparing for their bowl game against Tulsa on the 23rd of this month. Utah can win its 6th straight bowl game with a victory in the Armed Forces Bowl.
