Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

It's official, Utah to play Michigan in 2008

Utah will open the 2008 season at Michigan, the Salt Lake Tribune is reporting. This will be the second trip to Ann Arbor for the Utes, as they lost there by a score of 10-7 in 2002.

Originally Utah had a road trip with Washington State scheduled at the start of the season, however the Tribune article suggests that the Utes will move that game back. I can only speculate that this means the Weber State game will be dropped, since Utah can't have more than 12 games during a season unless one of those games is at Hawaii.

I put up a new poll question asking whether the game is a good idea. You can Vote here.

Ann Arbor here I come
This will be great for the Utes and the conference, because the Utes will have an awesome team.  Even though Michigan will be down somewhat by losing their QB and RB to graduation I believe the Utes will pull it off.

I hope.
Imagine opening the 2008 season with a win over Michigan and then going undefeated. That could make 2004 look like 1994.
