Week six BlogPoll ballot
Something new with the Blogpoll, as it's now apart of CBS Sports. So that's pretty cool. Anyway, here is my submitted ballot, so let me know what you think and if you believe I could make some changes.

Looks good!
It compares well with this
.
You might get on the list for over stating our team again, but I think it is justifiable.
I bet I do!
Though someone voted Utah higher than me in this week’s BlogPoll, but I doubt that’ll matter. It looks like the average has Utah at 13th and I have ‘em at 8th, so I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m number one again.
However, it’s tough to call it irrational, since Utah is undefeated. Trust me, if Utah wins Saturday in similar fashion as last Thursday, I’ll knock ’em down, but a win over Oregon State deserved a bump.
Interesting coincidence!
A collection of 70 computer rankings
has us at 8th when sorted by our mean of 12.85 and with a median of 12.5.
The computers love us, especially the ones that don’t look at points.
I think people are starting to realize things about BYU's schedule too...
both Dr. Saturday & MGoBlog have mentioned it recently.
As for the Utes… based on what they’ve done so far (Michigan, who just beat top-10 Wisconsin; UNLV, who beat Arizona State & Iowa State; Oregon State, who beat USC; Utah State, who hung closer than expected with BYU; Air Force, who was undefeated at the time & Weber State, a team that hung with Hawaii for a half and is now in the FCS top-25), they deserve a high rank. They’ll probably start to slip a bit when the conference schedule gets into full swing (save the games against TCU & BYU, of course), but for now… it’s deserved. Plus, no one else has really impressed all that much.
The Utah Jazz. The Jazz... duh.
The best NBA team in Utah... no doubts about it!
Playing For Pride. Pirates, Utes, Panthers, and more...
Because, in the end, only one team can "win it all".
Kansas should not be ranked
And definitely not at #16.
Kansas needed to come from behind to beat a bad Iowa State team, and has already lost to South Florida (who lost this weekend.)
Who do you think should take their top-25 slot?
I don’t know if there is a team.
Though I agree maybe I ranked ’em a bit too high. I could knock ’em down a few spots.
North Carolina Maybe?
They just knocked of undefeated Connecticut and only loss is a close one to Virginia Tech.
Wins over Miami(FL) and Rutgers are tarnished a bit this year but they are getting a good number of points in most polls. I think they could even knock out Notre Dame next week.
I would probably go with California (4-1, 2-0 Pac-10)
Their victory over Michigan State (5-1, 2-0 Big Ten) is looking better and better, and their loss at Maryland (4-2, 1-1 ACC) isn’t that bad. They have dominated the teams they were supposed to dominate: Colorado State and Washington State.
Kansas’ only victory over a BCS team was the previously mentioned come from behind victory over Iowa State (2-3, 0-1 Big 12).
I think I'll probably go with North Carolina.
They seem like a good team worthy of their schedule.
That loss to Maryland looks bad, especially since the Terps were shut out against a terrible Virginia team and lost to Middle Tennessee State.
Except that Maryland
lost to Middle Tennessee State, struggled to beat James Madison, and lost to a Virginia team that has been throttled by USC (52-7), Connecticut (45-10) & Duke (31-3… their first win over an ACC opponent in 26 games)! Not exactly a team you want to lose to.
The Utah Jazz. The Jazz... duh.
The best NBA team in Utah... no doubts about it!
Playing For Pride. Pirates, Utes, Panthers, and more...
Because, in the end, only one team can "win it all".
Look where Dr. Saturday has Utah ranked
Dr. Saturday has Utah at #6 in his blogpoll. This is a largely resume ranking, but it is pretty good considering he was not a believer in Utah during the preseason . His prediction was Utah goes 8-4 and his best case scenario had Utah going 10-2 and worst case at 6-6.
He has ybU unranked.
Nice
I have the exact same rankings (though I haven’t posted mine yet… that’ll go up late today) for the 2 teams.
The Utah Jazz. The Jazz... duh.
The best NBA team in Utah... no doubts about it!
Playing For Pride. Pirates, Utes, Panthers, and more...
