Utes lose to D-II Southwest Baptist

I don't know if it's the first time in school history Utah has lost to a D-II program, but regardless, this is not the way you want to kick off the 2008-2009 season. Obviously I was wrong  when I said in my preview we would not get an idea of how good Utah was from this game. We now know how good the Utes are and it's not a pretty picture.

I'll have more on the game later, but it was pretty ugly and Utah really didn't deserve to win. They were outplayed by a far less talented program and most likely were dealt with the worst loss in program history. At least I can't think of another that rivals this.
