Rocky Long resigns from New Mexico

PrintShocking news out of New Mexico, as head coach Rocky Long will step aside later today and resign from the program he helped build. Long, who just finished his 11th season with the Lobos, struggled this year, guiding New Mexico to a 4-8 finish. He is 65-69 since taking over the program in 1998.
I'll have more on this when they hold their press conference.

That is what I'm thinking. Notice it says resigns, not retires.
You only really resign if you’re forced to, right? Or you’re taking another gig…
