Utes ranked 8th in BCS poll

Utah moved up two spots to eight in the current BCS standings, the highest for a non-BCS team. Boise State, who were behind the Utes at 11th last week, moved a spot to tenth, while Oklahoma State is now wedged between the two. 

Here is the top-ten:

1. Alabama
2. Texas Tech
3. Penn State
4. Texas
5. Florida
6. Oklahoma
7. USC
8. Utah
9. Oklahoma St
10. Boise State

TCU is ranked 12th, so Thursday's game is a big one!

What are the chances we jump USC if both of us win? They play #21 Cal…I would love to see it, but I’m doubting it. Plus, I wouldn’t be surprised to see OK St. go in and take out Tech. Which would make them for sure jump us. Hopefully, Alabama gets smacked at LSU (i think that is where they go). I think Penn State got screwed on that poll. I was just wondering what you thought about the USC game. This is one they could lose also tho.

Too much hype?

I know, I may be a BYU fan, but don’t you think that Utah is ranked a little higher than they should be? Just as BYU was before their loss to TCU? Anyway, I don’t mind their ranking, I hope it goes up even higher (or lower, depending on how you look at it). It will make for a BYU victory to be a convincing argument for a BCS bid.
