Would you rather?

I know it's an unpleasant thought, but let's say that Utah will lose one of its next 3 games.

Would you rather it be against TCU or BYU?

With a win against TCU and a loss against BYU, Utah gets a share of the MWC championship.  I'm not sure what bowl game they go to since there would be a 3-team tie.  Zoobs would get another year of trash talk, would revel in knowing they beat us and ruined our BCS aspirations.

With a loss to TCU and a win against BYU, TCU will claim the MWC title and will most likely go to a BCS bowl.  Utah would go to the Vegas Bowl and stomp on whoever from the Pac-10.  BYU would, haha, go to the Armed Forces bowl and we'd all enjoy a year of poking fun at our little sisters down south.  Utah would get BCS money and wouldn't have to worry about getting drilled by whatever BCS team they would have been matched up with.  Let's be honest, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma or Florida would mop the floor with Utah.

IF we have to lose a game, I hope it would be against TCU, I don't think I could stand another year of losing our rivalry game.  Even though beating TCU and losing to the y would give us a share of the MWC title, it would be a tougher pill to swallow.

With that said, holy crap, what a great year!  I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow night.  Let Christmas come 3 times this year, on the 6th, the 22nd and of course 12/25.

GO UTES!!!

my preference...

…none of the above.

We’ve seen what this team is capable of, and I think if they get to a BCS game, they will definitely compete — maybe even win.

Of course, I we HAD to lose a game, it’s a no-brainer. Any Ute fan would rather lose to TCU that the Cougs.

Vizzle is on the mark.

If you lose to BYU, the season was a disappointment

Now the game is over...

Utah won and I can’t help but look to a BCS bowl game. I think out of the teams ahead of us right now, I would rather play USC or Oklahoma. We had a tough time tackling Dalton, imaginne if we had to play McCoy…that would be horrible. Sanchez from USC is overrated and we would just need to stop their run, and I think we could beat them. Oklahoma is good, but I think we could take them down…

GO UTES!!

Utah's bowl opponents.

If we don’t go to a BCS bowl we will be in the Vegas bowl and destroy any PAC 10 team we face.

The Rose Bowl will be PAC 10 vs Big 10. The other three will have their conference tie ins. One exception would be if Alabama and Florida both lose a game an two Big 12 teams meet in the NC game. In this case the SEC would be the host team for both the Sugar and Fiesta Bowl.

For the BCS Bowls, we could face:
Texas Tech, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Florida, Alabama, ACC Champion

If the Big 12 North wins the championship game I think we could easily win the Fiesta Bowl against Missouri. If we get relegated to the Orange Bowl vs the ACC Champion I think we take the day as well.

Other than that I wish we had our 2004 team back. Alabama is the team I think we match up best with.

My hopes are clung on the fact that Whittingham is REALLY good at getting our team up for big games, and our team has shown really good toughness when the going gets tough. Also we have been getting the breaks in the close corners.

IF we get to the BCS there is a great chance we will actually get a test this time around.
