incredible finish

Brian Johnson is so good in two minute offense..we weren’t going to be denied!

btw on the PI call, the commentator disagreed and thought the receiver would catch it out of bounds but u can clearly see he has feet inbounds as he goes up for the catch with the defender on his back

Pass Interference

TCU was smothering guys all night. Had they called every actual interference call, and Fouts was vocal about that, they’d at some point have laid off our guys enough to be open.

Credit those accurate passes—Godfrey catching one with three guys on him.

What an ending, what a great game.

Enough

Sometimes just enough is good enough. The Utes showed a lot of character last night and I didn’t mind the cold at all.

Brian Johnson Two Minute

I wonder if Brian Johnson is so effective in the two minute drill because he is able to call his own plays?

The Worst Part About Utah Beating TCU

The worst part about this is Utah fans thinking they are actually a good team. Utah football sucks (and admittedly so does BYU). It’s just crappy football. Being the best team in the MWC is like being the tallest midget. The only comparable conference is the WAC, although do your research people… the WAC has more ‘starters’ than the MWC in the NFL right now. Utah is good for hunting and skiing, bad for football.

HUH?

Dude, Are you a Ute Fan or just a jerk? If you don’t have anything positive to say don’t post. Utah Football is the ONLY football in town and us Ute Fans think it’s awesome no matter what.

Not a fan

No, I am not a Utah fan. I actually like BYU. But I am a REALIST… which is what I expect of others. I HONESTLY, believe that Utah is a better team than BYU this year… I won’t blindly believe that BYU is better, like some BYU fans do. But I just want people to realize that the Mountain West Conference is a horrible conference. If you want to watch real football, you have to watch the Big 10, 12, SEC, etc. Neither BYU nor Utah deserve a BCS bid… they just aren’t as fast, as strong, or as good as the big dogs in the NCAA.

You can be a fan of whoever you like, but please don’t kid yourself. Neither team has real athletes. I thought blogs were for posting opinions… so that is mine.

Brent...

… you are an idiot. Yes, we’ve got some crappy teams in our conference (Wyoming, SDSU, BYU, etc.) but this conference is better than you give us credit for.

But then that’s not why you’re posting here. You are on BLOCKU because you’re another bitter cougar fan that will never see his team play in a BCS game. Sucks to be you guys.

Chew on this: The coaches, the sportswriters, and the BCS computers disagree with you on whether Utah deserves a BCS bid. I think they know more than you buddy. Sorry your team sucks, but don’t rain on our parade.

Vizzle07

I see where you are coming from (although I wouldn’t compare SDSU and BYU). Like I said, I am a BYU fan, not ashamed to admit it, but at least I am a realist.

There are 4 BCS games, which means 8 teams will go. Utah is NOT one of the best 8 teams in the nation right now. There are a handful of teams below them in the top 25 that would beat them, but because they actually play good teams, they happen to have some losses. Teams that would beat Utah:

  1. Penn St., #10 Georgia, #11 Ohio St., #12 Mizz, #13 Oklahoma St., #15 Mich. St., #20 LSU.

Boise St. is in the same situation of being “undefeated, but not very good”. Hawaii has been there too. THERE ARE VERY FEW REAL ATHLETES IN THE MWC.

If Utah gets a BCS game that would be GREAT for our conference… but everyone here will know that they are NOT one of the best 8 teams in the nation. I guess that is a BCS problem.

Also, please don’t think you are offending me by calling me an idiot or by saying BYU sucks. I know they do. They sucked last year when they beat Utah too. THAT IS MY WHOLE POINT!!!! There are VERY FEW worthwhile players in the horrendous MWC.

Here is my promise to you all: I’m trying to be mature about this, only stating my opinion (guess that is not allowed), but I will not resort to name-calling. I left that in elementry, Vizzle07. If Utah wins their BCS game I will come back and congratulate you guys. If they don’t get in, I will come back to gloat. It’s kind of a win-win for me… seeing as I don’t seem to hate Utah as much as you all hate BYU. Like I said, if Utah wins, very good for them, good for you all, and good for our conference.

I'm sorry

Really sorry I hurt your feel bads by “name calling”.

You’re welcome to state your opinion. And we’re welcome to state our opinions about your opinion. But honestly dude, you’re a total downer. You’re not a realist — you’re a pessimist. Also, lumping BYU together with Wyoming and SDSU was a joke — lighten up!

Truthfully, I don’t know how you can call yourself a “fan” of anything with that kind of attitude. You’re obviously not a UTE fan, yet for some reason you’re here. You’re certainly not a BYU fan, based on how much you put them down (they are a good team, you know; not half as good as the pollsters thought they were before the season started, but a good team none the less). And lastly, you’re clearly not a college football fan.

You are just a sad, sad little man.

Brent...

Are you crazy? You say over and over again that Utah and the MWC are terrible and they don’t deserve to go to a BCS bowl game ever. You completely “dis” your team and the entire MWC, including Utah but you say you will congratulate Utah fans if the Utes win their BCS game. I don’t get it you crazy MO-FO.

This has nothing to do with BYU, nobody even brought up BYU until you decided to post. Are you looking to pick a fight or something?
