Sugar Bowl Bound
My son supprised me with tickets to the Sugar Bowl. Being Bama fans we are looking forward to the this game. We figure to arrive in time for New Years Eve on Bourbon St, yelling ROLL TIDE. We are wondering, what does a Ute fan yell that equates to ROLL TIDE? This year has been one of “can’t believe this is happening”, especially in just Coach Saban’s second year. After playing through the “Death March” known as the SEC schedule (8-0), then losing in the fourth quarter to the Gators, we are glad to be playing the Utes and not Texas. We are not taking the Utes for granted, however, if we had played Texas and won we would only move up from 4th to 2nd or 3rd in the final standings… who remembers who finishes below # 1. This game should be fun for both teams, a just reward for 12-0 regular seasons. Bama does have more to lose in this game, that’s why I think we will be ready to play..I know the Utes will be ready to play the biggest game since beating Michigan and finishing unbeaten, many years ago.

Death March?
"After playing through the "Death March" known as the SEC schedule . . . "
No “death march” in college football could include the 2008 likes of Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Tennessee. (Those same Vols that got spanked at home by Wyoming, for Gawd sakes.) Throw in the non-conference “challenges” Arkansas State, Western Kentucky and Tulane and you’ve got a schedule that could have even the third-best team in the Mountain West (that’d be BYU) expecting 8-9 wins.
Alabama is a good team that beat over-rated opposition early (Clemson, Georgia) to get national pub and a higher-than-deserved national ranking.
This game will be a lot closer than the SEC homers think.
Good comments, now answer my question
What do Runnin Utes fans yell on Bourbon street or during the game. By the way, are the Utes still starting that D-line that averages less than Bama’s TE?

Go Utes!!!!
It’s not incredibly clever, but it get’s the point across.
Utah will rotate Aaron Tonga (6-2 292), Sealver Siliga (6-3 325) and Kenape Eliapo (6-0 303) in on the D-line. As for the starters, Newman (6-4 260) is very good at overcoming his lack of bulk by leveraging his way into the play, and Misi (6-3 263) and Kruger (6-5 255) are both very athletic. Kruger was recruited by Urban Meyer as a QB, and is fully capable of dropping into pass coverage if the Utes are in a zone blitz.
The size of the Bama line is not a real concern for the Utes, who faced down BYU’s offensive front that has about 20 lbs on the Bama front line.
I think Bama’s O-line is more athletic than BYU, and it’ll be key to Utah’s prospects in this game to keep the Bama offense on the sideline as much as possible, by possessing the ball and putting together some time consuming possessions.
The new chant on Bourbon Street . . .
by the Utah team is “WE’RE NUMBER 1!!!!!!”
