Looks like Utah may be replacing defensive coordinator Gary Andersen.

Damn...

If Andersen takes the USU job and Whit leaves we are screwed.

We all knew Andersen would go somewhere, and probably do so this year, but I still think Whit will stay. The thing that scares me is if the Utes beat a Bama, Florida, or Texas then Whit could be fielding some very big offers.

IF Andersen does leave, do you think he knows Whitt will be staying around?

I mean, you’d think if he knew Whittingham were leaving, he’d stay because there is a good possibility he’d be the number one option, right?

You'd think that...

but Whit may be telling him he’s not going anywhere right now and then a job opens up after the bowl season that throws a ton of money at Whit after winning a BCS game (hopefully?!).

I also think USU is putting a lot of pressure on coach Andersen to make the decision now and not wait so they can get him in and get started and that way coach Andersen can’t wait around for better options as well.

I really don’t think it’s likely that Whit leaves. However there is that chance, and it does scare me a little.
