New Mexico hires Illinois OC Mike Locksley
Not Dan Mullen, like some suggested, but New Mexico has hired their next coach. I don't know much about him, except he will be the fourth current black head coach (and first in the MWC).
Sounds like a decent hire. It's interesting the two hires so far in the MWC have gone to offensive coaches from the midwest.
Now we wait for San Diego State.

San Diego
In teh past they have put some guys in the pros. That place seems to operate under a malaise in Football I cannot comprehend with the talent laden areas they have to mine.
For them they need a dynamic coach who toughens them up through conditioning and expectations. The two best at that coach in the SEC so try to get someone who buys into the Saban/Meyer philosophy of coaching.
Offense sells tickets, D wins games, I’d go with Defensive minded for one reason: winning games sells tickets long term more than one flash in the pan game. It also helps you recruit more than just flash.
