Spiraling costs of Utah Football

Is anybody else miffed about the yearly price increase of their Utah football tickets? This year I am paying $310. a seat. That's almost $52. a game. In addition to that my tailgate pass has gone up. I pay nearly $400. just to park my tailgate vehicles in the tailgating lot! I know a lot of 30+ year fans that have turned in their tickets this season because of the yearly increases. Maybe I'm hallucinating but I remember Chris Hill telling us (after the new stadium was built) that he would keep our ticket prices low, what a lie. I guess the seats will eventually all be owned by corporates and all the hard-core fans will be gone.

I was surprised at how much ticket prices jumped.
But I think they're still fairly reasonable, at least compared to many other schools. Right now I'm floored at how much second round playoff tickets cost for the Jazz. It seems prices are going up across the board.

Agree with Jazzy here...

If you want to see ridiculous prices for games visit Tenn, USC, OK, etc. I know we aren’t in those conferences, but IMO we are seeing a comparable product as far as the home team. Just remember to ALWAYS renew, because a time will come when not only will the seats be difficult to afford, but they will be difficult to find. You can possibly offset some of the negative ramifications by taking a client or a business associate to ohhh say a Weber St. Game? Then you can claim….well…I think you get what I am saying…Not only that but there is another scenario you could use. Realize that if ticket prices go up, demand is also going up. I’m not condoning ticket scalping, but…well I am…anyways buy two more tickets and us them to supplement the price increase…I guess what I’m really saying is I for one will be til I die ki yi!

I look forward to the time where tickets are rare.

I know it’s going to be difficult from a fan’s point of view, but for the success of our program, it would rock to be 99% capacity a week before gameday. I envy at those schools where it’s tough getting season tickets and you have to camp out just for tickets to the big game. I’d love for the students to be at that point, where they sit out all night for tickets to the BYU game.
