Mountain West media day: 5 Utes make preseason All-Mountain West team

Yesterday the preseason All-Mountain West team was announced and the Utes had five players on it. OL Robert Conley was the only player selected on offense, while DL Paul Kruger, DB Brice McCain and DB Robert Johnson all made the defensive list. Louie Sakoda was selected as the preseason Special Teams Player of the Year.

Not a bad showing from Utah. Being that I’m from Oklahoma, I don’t get a lot of info on the Mountain West. However, I keep waiting for Utah to have a breakout year. I wonder if they’ll be this year’s Cinderella?
