A win for one is a win for all!

I have been feeling a tingle I have not felt since before 2004.

A sense that this year is going to be something special.  The smell that something was in the air that could not be found by numbers on paper.

This year it is not contained to Utah.  I really feel this is the year of the Mid-Major.

The lines are drawn between the BCS cartel and the oppressed mid majors.  The fate of all mid-majors depends on the performance across the board.  Each conference must win their out of conference (OOC) games to boost their own standing.

The MWC needs to win their games OOC games.

But our fate is not determined by us alone.  We need the BCS conferences to be lowered as well.  C-USA needs to take a bite out of the Big East, ACC and SEC.  The WAC need to help us take on the PAC 10 and Big 12.  If the MAC can take a bite out of the Big 10, and help with the Big East, a mid-major coup will have arrived.

The Big 10 is likely to be down this year.  The MWC looks to be up this year.  The WAC was way down last year and looks to be on the rebound.  C-USA is a wild card.  The MAC is an almost forgotten sleeper.

In the end our fate and the fates of Fresno State, Boise State, TCU, UCF, Bowling Green, Miami (OH), Tulsa, S. Miss, Houston, East Carolina, Memphis, Central Michigan and even the despised BYU are connected.  One relying on the other to do their part to conquer the ruthless and corrupt enemy.

By no means am I saying we will win all the battles.  This year we can combine to make waves the BCS will never forget.  Michigan and Rutgers are the first battles.

A WIN FOR ONE IS A WIN FOR ALL!

Hopefully the season is as good as the trailer!

Unfortunately the recent releases from Whittingham Productions has left one a little hesitant to get too excited.

I am excited to think we will get an opening week trifecta!

Utah over Michigan
Fresno State over Rutgers
Memphis over Mississippi

CSU over Colorado would be a very pleasant surprise, as would :
Louisiana Tech over Mississippi State
Bowling Green over Pittsburgh
East Carolina over Virginia Tech

Miami (OH) over Vanderbilt should help pad the stats.

If the BCS loses 4 or 5 of these it is on!
