Predict Utah's won/loss record
Did it last year, should do it again this year.
My picks:
@ Michigan: L
UNLV: W
@ USU: W
@ Air Force: W
Oregon State: W
@ Wyoming: W
Colorado State: W
@ New Mexico - I want to say loss, but the fact this comes after a bye week has me optimistic. W
TCU: W
@ SDSU: W
BYU: W
11-1, top-10 finish.
Too optimistic? Probably, but I'm in a good mood. I could see Utah losing to New Mexico, but, as I mentioned, it's after a bye week and that should benefit Utah.

I see the Utes getting in done against Michigan
First off – why are you posting under “Fanposts” Jazzy? Are you the sovereign of this blog or not?
I am feeling optimistic too so I’ll agree with 11-1, but I think the loss comes to TCU. Michigan will no doubt have a great defense (it will likely be the toughest defense the Utes face), but I just don’t see their offense getting it done. They have a redshirt freshman quarterback. Their game plan will probably have them running most plays, but they have one offensive lineman returning. And oh yeah, they’re learning a completely new (and complex) offensive system.
I don’t see Michigan overlooking Utah per se – the next week they play Ohio – but instead simply not being as motivated as they would be if they played a Big-10 rival.Their coaching staff will try to convince the players to take Utah seriously, but how successful wil they be?
The players will no doubt give lip service to taking it one game at a time, but in the back of their mind they will be convinced they cannot lose to last year’s third place MWC team. I’ve been reading some Michigan fan blogs, and if they are any reflection of their players, Appalachian State is a distant memory; they simply do not believe that lightning can strike twice. And they think our loss to UNLV is worse than the loss to Applachian State.
TCU plays UNLV the Saturday before us, while Utah draws New Mexico. New Mexico plays physical. UNLV – not so much. Although TCU has a poor record on Thursdays over the last three years and it’s a road game, I see this as a problem game. Since it’s a Thursday game, I’m giving the edge to TCU.
Finish in 14-18 in the polls.
Small Mistake.
Michigan plays Miami (OH) the week following Utah. I knew I should have double checked that.
12-0
With a BCS bowl win.
:)
The Utah Jazz. The Jazz... duh.
The best NBA team in Utah... no doubts about it!
Playing For Pride. Pirates, Utes, Panthers, and more...
Because, in the end, only one team can "win it all".
Disagree with TCU loss
There is no way the utes are going to let them Texas Christian boys come in on our own turf and steal away a win. I don’t care how bad New Mexico brings it the week before, there will be plenty of excitement brought into that game to pump up the Utes. For one its a thursday night game, and two(the most important) you definately cannot overlook the “Blackout”! Them black uniforms are going to be sick, I’m super stoked about the new Under Armour gear. And i know we are all used the that crimson red stadium, but for one night RES will be overthrown by black. BRING ON THE FROGS!

I am optimistic going into the Michigan game. It does not matter that they are “re-building” if there is such a thing at Michigan. Their defense will be superior to ours, but our offense should have the upper hand. If we can establish a strong running game then I think that we can do it. (but do not know if we will)
I see the Utes going 10-2. Reason being is that it is tough for any team to go undefeated and hold string in the top 10. Both of the losses will come on the road but hopefully it will not ruin our chances of winning the MWC and getting the trophy in SLC where it belongs.
Of course I want to say we will go undefeated and go to a BCS game and trample whoever we face, but just trying to be optimistic and realistic at the same time.
Go UTES!!
