Hawaii 4-star considering Utah?

I see Dan Sorensen at utah.rivals.com has a piece staing that 4-star lineman Stanley Hasiak OG from Hawaii is considering a trip to Utah.

But Hasiak is listed as late as 1/13/09 as a solid verbal to Cal. To further the confusion, rivals.com says Hasiak is scheduled for a visit on 1/30/09, even though he has no interest in any school but Cal.

Hasiak would be a great addition to the Utah recruiting class, but the timing of these each of these announcements has me wondering about their validity.

Anybody have any insight?

Thanks.

Just that, looks like he's going to visit.

Maybe the Sugar Bowl success changed his mind?

A good way to get this kind of info is to pay for a utah.rivals.com membership.

Not to pimp their site on Jazzy’s site, but if you like recruiting info they’ve got a ton of it in there.

I've looked at Rivals

And am not sure the premium membership would be worth it. I only mentioned it here because the Rivals information was confusing.

Do you have a Rivals premium subscription and is it worth it?

I do, and I think it's worth it, but I'm sort of a recruiting junkie.

The stories are great, the inside information is pretty good, and the staff does a great job.

As for Hasiak, here’s the story as I understand it (although there is a lot more detail): Committed to UCLA, started having doubts about the staff, scheduled additional visits, went on visit to Cal, liked Cal, committed to Cal but still taking last 2 visits (USC and Utah). Chances he ends up a Ute? Slim to none.

To quote "Dumb and Dumber"

“So you’re saying there’s a chance.”

Can’t blame somebody for having second thoughts about the UCLA coaches.

Thanks for the tip on Rivals.
