Roderick not going to Washington, returns to Utah

UPDATE PART II: The Utes' official site has a press release up now. From the article:

"I handled this whole thing badly," said Roderick. "But I didn't want to compound my mistakes, when where I really want to be is Utah. This was never about titles and money. This is about doing what is right for me and my family. I love coaching at the University of Utah and I am grateful that Coach Whittingham welcomed me back."

UPDATE: Ute Zone reporting Roderick has returned to Utah and will have his old job back.

Wow...

This guy just can't make up his mind, can he?

Rumor has it he's on his way back.

Surpring news, however!

Just curious

could this have anything to do with his return?

Roderick: Hey, why don’t you come with me to Washington.

Magee: Are you kidding me? I can go to Utah.

Roderick: But Washingotn is in the PAC 10, a BCS conference with a chance at the title…

Magee: Maybe if they can win a game. Utah can get to and win a BCS bowl against anyone, infact I have just convinced my friend Conroy Black to join me at Utah.

Roderick: Hmmm… Maybe McBride was right about the big block U. This is the place.

His wife is returning to be the Assistant Coach for the Soccer team

His wife Laurel would not have had a job in Washington. He told Washington that he was leaving for “family-related reasons.” I don’t think it is really speculation to suggest that she was not happy with the move.
