13 - 0 and No Respect
As I sat there on my couch and watched Utah completely beat the once #1 ranked Crimson Tide, I had to ask myself why in the world this undefeated team was even playing in this game. I understand they do not play on TV every Saturday, do not have any TV sponsorships, and I do not think there are any Utah alumni that work for ESPN, but one would think after beating the likes of Michigan and Air Force, both on the road, and beating TCU and also BYU they might get a little talk. I understand Michigan is on a down year but it is still Michigan.
I sat just one day earlier watching the Rose Bowl listening to “USC this, USC that,” how they looked so good they should be talked about for the national championship. I know Utah plays in a lesser considered conference but let’s just take a look at that. USC played only six teams with a winning record, two of which were Washington and Washington State, who combined to go 2 - 23; pretty tough conference that Pac 10. Utah also played only six teams over 500 all year; one of those teams being Oregon State from the Pac 10. Yes, the same Oregon State that USC lost to. It is very hard to compare conferences, but it is not very hard when both teams did play the same team and have different outcomes. As for the two teams that are in the national championship, both teams already have something Utah has not seen all year: a loss. Then you look at Florida’s schedule, which seems to have greatly contributed to their bowl positioning. Their first game was against Hawaii, two games later Tennessee; oh yes, and the Citadel game in November…not exactly a difficult test. They did play some great teams; do not get me wrong they are a good team, but just once let us throw out politics and favoritism. 13 - 0 is 13 - 0. Sorry Utah, maybe next year.

13 and OH
As a Michigan fan, I honestly did not think you guys were that good at the beginning of the year ( even after you beat us). I thought, wow they barely beat what is most likely going to be our worst team in years. But slowly you started to gain my respect.
That being said I think you guys absolutely have to be ranked in the top 5 (maybe top three depending on how the BCS NC game goes).
Now I know that there are a million arguments that will be made about how Alabama didn’t care about the game, their heart wasn’t in it because it was not the NC, how you played a lesser schedule all year and only had to really get up for this one game…blah, blah, blah…I honestly don’t care if any of those things are true or not, you guys beat every team on your schedule, and that is no easy task regardless of conference, and to beat an SEC team (motivated or not) in New Orleans is pretty damn impressive to me.
So hold your heads up high, puff out that chest and tell the nay sayers to kiss your @$$!! You guys are the sh!t this year.

Thanks, but screw the top 3. We deserve #1.
Nobody, and I mean NOBODY has the resume we do, with the exception of Oklahoma. If Oklahoma loses to Florida, we deserve the title, period. Even if Oklahoma wins, we won all of our games, OU didn’t. If the reason we have the bcs is because “every game is a playoff” then the team that wins all the games gets the championship, or is that another lie? i guess I already know the answer to that.
Everyone hates a pink-shirt-wearing communist.
