BCS Championship open thread

If you have anything to say about tonight's game, do so here.

Call me bitter, but this isn't the national championship. It's the BCS championship and should be referred as such.

My prediction: Florida wins and it won't be a very tough victory, either. Bob Stoops needs to regain some credibility when it comes to BCS bowls, because he's quickly lost it all over the past few seasons. With that said, I'm hoping for an ugly, turnover plagued contest where neither team plays great football and the victor only pulls out the W because the other team essentially gave them the game.

It won't happen, but I can hope.

I'm not sure

the first half could have gone any better if you’re a Ute fan. I’m not sure it’s been poorly played, but it feels like it and its been incredibly disjointed (clock issues, injuries)

Yeah, you couldn't ask for a better first half.

Sloppy play by both teams. They can say it’s defense, but I don’t think that explains how the Sooners easily move the ball down field, only to botch it in the red zone.

If this continues, the outcry becomes louder.

Oh how I would like to see the SEC bite it

After seeing Utah pretty much give Alabama the beating that they deserved and their supposed high powered SEC play, I would love to see the Boomer Sooners put a smack right on the mouth of another overly hyped SEC team. Sure Florida may as well be the better candidate to win, but I think the SEC is well over talked and like Utah someone needs to shut them up.

Jazzy,

I read your story on Utah, and agree they should be national champions. I own a newspaper in West Virginia and would like to run the blog post you wrote. If thats ok could you email me at chris.walters@mountaineerjeffersonian.com. The story i’m talking about is National champions? Why not? Thank You.
