Final top-25 prediction

Looks like the national championship is about to wrap up and th Gators should win it. Unfortunately, though it wasn't perfect, it wasn't bad enough to force a split, so they should be atop both major polls when they're released in a couple of hours.

But before they're released, I'd just like to get my prediction out:

AP:

1. Florida

2. USC

3. Utah

4. Texas

5. Oklahoma

Coaches:

1. Florida

2. USC

3. Texas

4. Utah

5. Oklahoma

We'll see how it shakes out, but this is the way I see it. Of course, if I had my way, I'd put Utah number one (which I will do in my BlogPoll ballot), but obviously I don't have a vote. I think the best case scenario is Utah 2nd, which is very, very unlikely.

I'd love that, but I don't see it. USC will get 2nd because they're USC.

And so many members of the media have a constant hardon for everything Tojans.

This is post poll

They love USC, but the game against Alabama woke a lot of people up. It wasn’t fluky, it was a virtual road game, and they handled a very good football team. It seemed to me a lot of media took up the Utes cause. Texas’ close win versus Ohio State hurt them and this game being close and disjointed hurt also.

You were right.

Though I was right about the Coaches.

I knew the Coaches would stick it to Utah.

I'd vote:

1. Utah
2. USC
3. Florida
4. Texas
5. Oklahoma

Florida proved nothing tonight, It can’t even lay claim to being the best one-loss team in the country. Utah would have beaten the Gators, as would have Southern Cal. Texas gets my nod for #4 over Oklahoma because I think what happens on the field matters.
