Where is Corbin Louks?

Fans of the National Football Champion Utah Utes while I am still reveling in the success of our program this past year I can’t help but look forward too.  To that point Corbin Louks, who at this point would be presumed the leading candidate to takeover the QB spot for Utah next year, has been curiously absent, and not mentioned at all.  Additionally, Utah has several other QB’s red shirted and recently received commitments from a JUCO standout, Terrence Cain, and a High School standout, Jordan Wynn.

I have watched Corbin develop and have seen the potential and yet in the last few games he has virtually disappeared.  He is the real deal but was given no playing time in the last couple of games.  Is he in the dog house?  Is he thinking of transferring?  I hope not but it sure makes me uneasy about the whereabouts of one Mr. Louks.

Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing

My only guess is that his package really didn’t fit into the last few games’ plans. I mean, these teams watching tape on Utah pretty much know that Louks is a threat to run the ball. And the possibility of these teams sniffing out his play package, getting to him, and seriously injuring him is scary. Like you said, he is the leading candidate for the starting QB spot next year and the last thing we need is Louks getting injured in that last few games of the season.

Louks could be a WR

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Louks play wide receiver.

He has great speed, but not a great throwing arm. Utah is known for finding positions for athletes. It makes sense.

Also, don’t be surprised if Devonte Christopher gets time at DB in the spring.

Louks is not the guy

Manis is your QB.Yeah louks has speed, but not a great arm and he’s small how many hits do you think it will take tell he’s on the sideline.Louks has a package but I think teams know what to expect out of that package. Manis is 6’5 230 has a great arm and can run over players .Remeber Johnson ran very little this year, but had that threat. I think Manis brings the same .
