How many people want UTAH to play usc in vegas bowl?
We are going to beat sdsu and byu. all that has to happen then is usc needs to lose to either arizona or ucla. usc needs to finish in fifth place. i would love for a 10-2 utah team to beat an 8-4 usc team and end the season on a high note. 9 straight bowl victories. second only to fsu. also we get a high ranking next year b/c we have alot of players coming back plus two qb's with ncaa experience. if utah has no major injuries next year i see utah going undefeated for the third team in 6 years. Peace.

No thanks...
it’s really a no win situation for the Utes. If they win then everyone will just say they beat USC when they had a shitty year. They will get no credit for beating the USC team of the last 5 years.
If the Utes were to lose though, then all you hear about is how even when USC is having a down year they can still beat the Utes. Give me a lower profile team in the Vegas Bowl if we are able to get by BYU.

actually there is an upsiide. it's called the east coast writers who probably won't watch the game
they will see an 11-2 utah team that beats usc so next year the utes get a top 15 ranking right of the bat. especially if tcu crushes whoever they play. we beat a ranked pitt off the bat we are close to top ten. we beat notre dame we are in the top ten. we could become the first team to hit the # 3 bcs poll spot. by the 8th or 9th game. that is the upside. cal got blownout by oregon and usc 70 -6. no way i want them. i want the name school everyone respects on the east coast. the east coast has more writers. they will decide where we start next season. peace.

We don't need to beat BYU to get to the Vegas bowl.
Vegas is picking us for the first time in years this year because 5 years in a row of BYU is too much, even for TK-M. I’m pretty sure the bowls will go like this:
BCS (probably Sugar, maybe Fiesta): TCU
Vegas: Utah (as long as we beat SDSU)
San Diego: Air Force
Armed Forces: BYU
New Mexico: Wyoming (if they beat CSU)
Boise: no team available
Also, I think the PAC 10 is like the MWC, in that the bowls get to choose the team they want and don’t have to take the teams based on their conference standings, with the NCAA-mandated caveat that they can’t take a 6-6 team if there is a 7-5 team still available in the conference.
So I think the PAC 10 bowls will look like this:
Rose: Oregon
Sun: Arizona
Holiday: USC
Emerald: Stanford
Vegas: Cal
Poinsettia: Oregon State

I'd rather play Stanford in the Vegas.
A shame we still don’t have a tie to the Emerald Bowl.

the latest projections for tcu is the fiesta vs okie state
i would hate that game. there is totally no upside to that game. no dez bryant, kendall hunter has been injured most of the year and they are considered okie’s little brother. only game i’ll root for okie over okie state. that will stop it from happening. i rather have penn state. that’s an east coast school with tradition.

I'd rather play . . .
An east coast team and beat them.

i rather play the 5th place acc team
that could be anybody from north carolina, duke or boston college. i would want b.c because it’s the bigggest media market.

Considering that USC remains ranked even after the absolutely abysmal performances they’ve put on the past few times out, I would absolutely want to play USC. If USC wins, they’re expected to win, they’re USC, blah blah blah. If Utah wins, it’ll be a recruiting tool for years to come.

Yeah...but let's end it now, Utah isn't going to play USC.
The Trojans aren’t going to the Vegas Bowl.
We’ll get stuck with Cal or Oregon State.

if they go 8-4 where do you think they go. the holiday bowl?
i already mentioned this on pac-ten site. are they avoiding utah so they won’t lose again like they did in 2000 or 2001 vegas bowl. they lost 10-6. it would be a feather in our cap and one miserable long season till next year for the trojans. lol.

Who do they have left on their schedule?
Arizona and UCLA? I think they win out.

i think either arizona or ucla can beat them. ucla needs one more win to get bowl
eligible too.

Wrong Jazzy always doubtin da zona!
I just witnessed Arizona live, literally choke away that double overtime loss to oregon this week, we are a good team and we will beat USC! trust me! we’ve had enough fluke losses this season… we’ll get usc for you so you guys can show up USC too, and I agree there is no way utah is losing to byu… puhhleeezz stomp those cougs!

No to Stanford
Because they are a good team they will not get respect and all the talk will be about Harbaugh changing schools. USC would be good and the Utes beat them with Carson Palmer.

anybody who saw ucla/usc can say these teams are very medicore
usc had 28 points. 14 came from the defense. usc had one lone drive. the other td they got came from some ref whistle stoppage that was kinda bizarre and they scored a scrub td. i say utah would win 15 -7 in a very boring defensive game.

so we get cal in poinsettia bowl
the line is 3 points. i hope we start t. cain. i rather have a guy who can scramble. 60/40 on who wins. both teams had horrible games but i guess cal had three of them. i say utah has more pride and wins it’s ninth bowl game.
