Go Bears!
Looking for solid OL play and a little help on the one-on-one battles from Ludwig’s inside knowledge of the Utah team… Get it done Bears, its time to reclaim San Diego as Bear Territory!
Undefeated in Southern California since Oct. 2009...
Plane just flew over the stadium with a sign reading: We won, you lost, you are classless.
BYU fans are embarrassing.
I like when we pressure the QB like that.
I wonder how many sacks we’ll get this game. Generally, we’re good in that department.
We've got to take advantage of these damn big plays.
We had one huge play on the Utah pass and did nothing with it. Great position here and need to score.
The problem here is that Cal's run defense is really good.
We’re not going to win this game running the ball. So, if we’re going away from Wynn because we don’t think he’ll get it done – we’ll lose big.
Fun reading Sean Smith's Tweets during the game...
Omg wtf!!!! I knew this shit was gone happen…
Thass more like it… Now we need a def stop!!!
I see u Sly…Lol damn I miss playin college ball
I don't know why we don't put Cain in there to run it.
Since he’s a threat to throw, the Cal defense can’t just stack the box entirely.
But when it’s Wide, they know exactly what the Utes are going to run and it’s that they’re going to run! haha
totally agree
That would make the that formation a threat. Similar to what Louks was last year.

I tell you, this team does not quit.
They’ve had had 2 TD deficits five times this season. In four of them, they’ve managed to cut the deficit to 3 or less. Unfortunately, they only won one, with this game still to be determined.
Against Oregon (loss), CSU (win), our rivals, and now this game. TCU was just too good and the Utes never cut the deficit much.
Cal needs to pressure Wynn.
3 Man rush is not going to work for them. Wynn doesn’t do well when he gets rushed. (If a Cal coach is reading this, I’m lying).
I know please!!
Cal has been inconsistent all year. Call them inconsistent not bored

You beat me to the punch on that point
However had it been reversed they would be touting Cal as a top team next year.

I love coach Whit's Defensive mindset.
Going into the tunnel, Heather Cox asked him what they’ve done differently on defense.
You could tell that Whit took umbrage. Not verbatim, but he said, “We’ve only given up seven points. The others came from a pick six so that’s no on the defense.”
I love that Whittingham is not going to let his defense take the blame for that.
I caught that too. This Cox girl is dumb as bricks.
When interviewing Stoops, she mentioned he and Bo Pelini played under Hayden Fry as Gophers.
Except they both played at Iowa under Fry, which would make them Hawkeyes.
But yeah, I’m glad he corrected her. The defense has only given up seven points. They’ve played one bad series, which came on a short field.
A real recipe for victory.
/sarcastic glee
(From this Wyoming fan, I’m dearly hoping that Utah continues the conference’s pace.)

No, but I think it was the right call.
Pushing the lead to 13 instead of 10 is not that big. There’s about 16 minutes to go. At this point, it’s still a 2 score game either way.
should have done a hard count
that would have drew them offsides

Or had Wynn keep it.
Either way, it was good to go for it. We’re still ahead comfortably and Cal has only managed one offensive score and that came on a short field.
Looks like Asiata
Was the only one to run it successful. Totally agree with you earlier that Cain should run it.

I don't know why they keep running it.
If it was working, I’d say stick with it. But it’s not working at all. Utah is getting maybe a yard or two from it.
Good thing Asiata is back next year
so it will run proper next year.

Utah really shot themselves in the foot on failing to score a touchdown during their trips into Cal's side of the field.
This feels exactly like the 2007 Poinsettia Bowl.
We fell behind early, took a nice lead in the second half, Navy came back and we barely won.
Well we got our hook and lateral in a bowl game. That's like five in a row now.
Too bad we didn’t get the first down.
What's His Face along aside Craig James is lost.
He keeps flubbing. Now he says the official called the penalty on #15, when he said it was a 15-yard penalty.
But I'll take this. We're playing well on offense...
Just not finishing drives and most of those mistakes haven’t been because of Wynn.
even so 9 game bowl streak
and a top 20 pre season ranking next year.

Wasn't it "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them"?
I could be wrong. I’ve read them both, but I thought it was the later.
nice win for the Utes
congrats from a Stanford fan.
Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work. - Peter Gibbons

All right Jazzy
What’s your verdict on the season? You’ve said several times we need this win to salvage the season. The bowl streak continues. 10-win season. Loss to our rivals. Blowout loss to TCU.
Good season?
Definitely a good season.
I said all along I wanted one memorable win, a top-25 finish and ten wins. We’re getting all three. Could have been better, but for a rebuilding year, not bad.
