Utes to face Cal in Poinsettia; Boise State and TCU to the Fiesta

The Utes are Golden! Well their bowl game is in the Golden State anyway against the Golden Bears of Cal.

It appears the Utes will indeed be playing in the San Diego Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl (say that three times fast). Utah last played in the Poinsettia Bowl back in 2007 - a victory over Navy. I actually like this match up because the Utes haven't played Cal since 2003 and it offers up a good opportunity to play a decent, though stagnating, Pac-Ten opponent.

The other big news, of course, is the fact TCU will be playing Boise State in the Fiesta. It's a sham. However, I can't think of a better deserving team than the Frogs after hearing Gary Patterson endorse the current bowl system. You reap what you sow, as they say.

Bowl season is here! It's like crack...but healthy!

Utes get to face Andy Ludwig

That should be interesting. Also, I dont by that Fiesta is going to take TCU and Boise because they are giving up a ratings gold mine by not taking Penn State or Iowa.

Don’t have the money to fly to San Diego. Drive is too long… no one I know will spend the money to make the trip. Not in this economy..the bowl could be played in russia for all i care

horrible pick

TCU deserves more than a WAC champion……if you switch Cincinnati and Boise, you got two great matchups…..oh well, Andy Ludwig, we’re coming for you!.

BTW, anybody know A. Best’s status for the game? Is he still hurt?

mike slive made it possible that florida would not have to play tcu

florida got cincy b/c they know brian kelly will get coaching job at n.d. that means he won’t coach at cincy for bowl game. big advantage florida. i guess cbs and the bcs did not want to see tim tebow cry again or have urban meyer in hospital again.

yes i am obsessive, obnoxious, in your face and all about covering the spread. those are my good qualities.

byu might have enough pride since they were 14th in final bcs poll

they are actually getting 4 points in game. they can probaby win this game considering canfield is a 1 dimensional qb.
