Utah @ BYU
Utah Utes at BYU Cougars, Feb 28, 2009 3:00 PM MST
The Utes are one game away from claiming at least a share of the conference title. How sweet would it be to do that on BYU's home floor? This is a big game for both teams, but a win by Utah would be huge. It'd provide them that marquee road win this team is lacking this season and that could be very beneficial come selection time.
So let's get it done, sweep the Cougars and wrap up a share of the title, Utah!

Utes hold a slim first half lead, but the flow of the game favors BYU.
To be in this game with how poorly they’ve played in the first half does not bode well for Utah. The Utes need to step it up because they should be winning this one by double digits and I expect the Cougars to come out of the gate hot in the second half.
I don’t know about this…
Wow, where did the Utes go in the second half?
It was like watching a completely different team there for a bit, this one hurts
I saw this coming.
You knew it was building when Utah couldn’t put BYU away in first half. There was a sequence in that first half which decided the game, in my opinion.
The Cougars had missed a shot, Tillie went for the rebound and tipped it in. At that point, Utah held an 8 point lead and could’ve stretched it to 10 if Tillie hadn’t tipped the rebound in for BYU.
Oh well, still a 6 point lead, right?
Well Utah turns the ball over and Cummard hits a three. In a span of only seconds, Utah goes from leading by 8 to leading by only 3.
That’s when the tide turned and Utah couldn’t really do anything after that.
Well, here's to a victory in the Pit!
After Boylen lets them have it. Our boys have the talent, it just looked like the mental focus just wasn’t there.
Ya know...
I try not to get on players because they are just college kids, but I’m tired of watching Drca. He can’t shoot at at. He turns the ball over more than any point guard I’ve seen in a long time. Sometimes I don’t know what he could be thinking when he is making a pass. His decision making is horrible.
If I’m Boylen, I bench him and let Tavita start at the point and play more often.
Too many dam turnovers. That is why Utah lost. Well that and the shitty shooting in the second half.
