Mountain West Tournament Day 4: Championship Edition

Will the Utes claim their first conference tournament championship in five years, or will San Diego State officially punch their ticket to the Big Dance? 

We'll find out, as both meet tonight in the conference championship. Winner goes to the NCAA tournament, while the loser goes...well probably to the NCAA Tournament.

Exciting.

The Aztecs reached the championship by defeating BYU in a close one. That game proved to be a thriller and came down to the final shot, a missed three for the Cougars that would have won it. Utah, on the other hand, pretty much had their way with Wyoming.

I expect this to be a pretty good battle and hopefully the fact Utah played the late-game Friday night doesn't impact their peformance. For the Utes to win, I think they'll need their shooters and fatigue can definitely pillage a shooter's ability to hit their shots. Hopefully that doesn't happen and Utah is hoisting the trophy at the end of the night.
