Spring - The Dark Period Ends
Interesting that "Pro-Day" is today up at the U especially with Spring Football Practice starting tomorrow.
To that end now we get to see how the retooling of the coaching staff and the development of the players into the positions they could be playing in this fall start to be analyzed.
Excitement from the fans standpoint and the interest in the program coming off of last year's achievements are high - vey high! I would believe that the players are excited and it will be interesting to see who the Senior Leadership will be. Robert Johnson, David Reed, Stevenson Sylvester - who else? Then the Team Leaders - the guys that are going to bring their lunch pails and lead through example, attitude, and the determination to exceed expectations. Who are they? Misi? Aiona? Louks? This is where it starts to gel guys - remember one very important thing and you've heard it before - "There is NO I IN TEAM". We need the studs but we need the TEAM.
Looking forward to the Red and White game in April - I'll be there!
Go UTES!

Soak it up!
Because once spring ball ends, it’s a long period of nothing and we won’t even have basketball to get us through!
Not looking forward to post-March. :/

We'll have baseball . . .
which is completely lame. Why can’t we have some sort of football played during the spring. Maybe women’s football? Arena league? NFL development league? CFL? The CFL should definitely be played during the spring. Not too cold, not hot enough to kill you like Vegas. It’s perfect, and then I wouldn’t be stuck with baseball highlights for the next 6 months.

We need something.
I’m hoping the Jazz go on a tear and are in the playoffs until at least May (they advanced to the WCF in ’07 on my birthday).
Summer for sports sucks. Baseball sucks. Even late-summer/fall baseball sucks.

Baseball
I can’t imagine it. Watching what? 8 hours of guys scratching their balls in the hope sthat single hit will occur maybe?
Geez.
Pro Bowling has more action. Lots more action.

yea
i admit football is better to watch, but try playing both, or rather play both and be decent at both, baseball is honestly more fun to play.

Life in America
Yes, fat, lazy, overrated life. Over paid, underworked, sanctioned a special for daring to get a tan on only one hand while having to chase down 15 fly balls in a year. It is grueling.
Who should not be paid 25 million for that test of willpower and stamina ehhhh?
;-)

The hardest thing...
to do in any athletic event is hit a baseball. Period. It’s not even debatable.
How many players make over 20 million a year in baseball? 6, 7, 8 maybe.
And as far as your stamina comment goes. Who plays 16+ or 82+ games a year while baseball is 162+ games a year. Winner = Baseball.
I’m sorry your dad never took you to any ball games when you were growing up. =P

162+ naps?
Oh yeah, nothing is as grueling as standing around outside half the year for money.
Sounds like you had an awesome relationship with your dad, that is the best!
But, winning a decathlon is hands down the hardest thing to do in sports, not hitting a baseball. I’d agree that throwing a pass is not as hard, unless you’re being chaseddown by a murderous 280 pound animal.
More people would do it, but they’re so bored to tears by the time they get up there they just don’t care anymore. Hell, are any of them awake when they swing?
Heh.
