Poll time! Wynn, Utah and expectations

Now with the news Wynn has been named the number one quarterback, are your expectations changed heading into the 2009 season? I think we all expected a bit more experience under center, so this is a surprise.

However, sometimes surprises can be good and shouldn't the coaching staff start the most able (there is a Cain joke in here) player?

Will this ultimately cost Utah a game or two, or is it no big deal?

Wynn now the man. How does this change your feelings toward the season?
More optimistic. Louks just was not the man.

No change. Utes will still contend for the MWC and possibly the BCS.

Less optimistic. This should push Utah down a peg.

I should correct something. I said starter, but he's not.

That’s a mistake on my part. Wynn hasn’t been named the starter, just the expected starter unless Cain can derail him during the rest of camp.

I'm a little less optimistic...

if Wynn is the starter, but just for this season. I think this should be the right move long term.

The learning curve will be there. He will make more mistakes than Cain or Louks imo. I predicted the Utes to go 9-3 this year. I still think that’s possible with Wynn. However 8-4 may be just as likely too.

I'm just glad we have two easier opponents to start the season.

It would royally suck if Utah opened on the road against Oregon.

Sure, you can’t grow completely in two games, eight quarters, but it’ll give him the chance to work out some kinks before Oregon.

Wynn, Louks

I think the offense will be carried by the running game, so as long as Wynn doesn’t make too many mistakes, we should be fine.

As for Louks… I’m guessing his arm wasn’t very impressive. Which makes transferring a bit of a question because if that’s true, I don’t see him getting a starting job at another D-I school.

It’ll be nice to see Wynn leading the offense… anyone know what his accuracy is like?
