explain
the WAC is a mediocre conference at best… so BSU is likely to run the table with one good win if they beat the ducks… so voters put them @ 14th.
but if they run the table, they’ll never be voted into the NCG, because of strength of schedule… they’ll get a BCS game at best… mwc schools get voted lower because their conference is perceived to be a bit tougher… so running the table is less likely… but this same arguement is why AQ schools get voted higher so this means nothing, except perceived conference weakness is good at the beginning of the season, but not @ the end if you’re BSU… and somewhat opposite if you’re TCU or Utah… this is bass-ackwards… voters are a hypocritical waste of space… please explain if i am missing something.

3 MWC teams in the AP 25
This is proof that the MWC is for real. Look how many teams from the “mighty” Big East are in the 25 mix……oh wait, my bad there isn’t.
Regards, Another BCS hater.
it's getting better with bcs situation
the rose bowl has been told they must tske a non bcs team if one of the pac-ten or big ten teams qualify for the fbs championship game and no other team in those conferences or other bcs conferences qualifies for a regular bcs game. also there is small paragraph in the bcs bylaws where teams in the mwc can keep three teams in the top 25 for the next three years. no easy task but all three utah ,tcu and byu are already in the top 25 and i can’t see any of them not winning at least 10 wins. i think tcu could run the table with wins at virginia and clemson. that would be extra sweet on two fronts. it would shut up the acc commisioner john swoofford who said utah should be thankful they got a chance to play in the sugar bowl. it also could mean tcu goes 12-0 and gets the bcs berth. that would mean two teams in the mtn west have gotten bcs bowls. another funny note is utah by itself has as many wins in bcs games then the entire acc conference and they have 12 schools. lol! va tech last year and florida state quite a few years ago. i would like too add boise state, nevada and fresno to the mtn west to make 12 teams so we could also have a championship game. with those extra teams the mtn west could probably keep 4 teams in the top 25. one last note. i do think non bcs teams should play 3 teams from bcs conferences on their schedules. that would boost power rankings. i know it’s hard to get home and home situations and nobody who is good in a bcs conference wants to play us but you could schedule mid levelers like purdue, kansas state and maybe someone like arkansas. peace p.s. all will be equal by 2014 when the bcs has to goto a new contract from espn and most at espn want a playoff.

When the season. . . .
Well, pre-season, dialogue started, I said TCU had lost a great deal on defense and why did everyone pick them over Utah? Because people assumed that TCU would be too much for BYU and they get Utah there.
But Patterson isn’t happy with the defense so far. Granted, they could change all that by the time they play us, but running the table is looking less likely.
I guess the Clemson game will let us know. If TCU and BYU get smoked right outta the box, it will be a long, long season of BCS defenders and Boise State fans saying “told you so. . .”
TCU hasn't lived up to expectations yet in the MWC.
They’ve done better when no one expected much from them.
In 2005, I don’t think they were on anyone’s radar and they went undefeated in conference play.
In 2006, everyone predicted them to not only win the Mountain West, but bust the BCS. They lost to both Utah and BYU and while their 11-2 finish was not bad, it was still far from where they expected to finish.
In 2007, again TCU is picked to win the Mountain West and they go 8-5.
In 2008, they’re picked third behind Utah and BYU and what do they do? Go 11-2, finish in the top-ten and finish second, setting up for…
2009, will they finally break the trend and live up to expectations?
