Around SBN: College Football Preseason Top 25 Rankings

Utah ranked # 12 in preseason Sagarin ratings

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt09.htm

Not that pre-season rankings mean much, but it is a nice place to start.  Considering the fact that these ratings make up a part of the BCS rankings, I'd say this is a very good place to start.  Utah is the highest non-bcs team, followed by TCU(16), Boise St. (19), and Brigham Young(23).

Of course wins are what ultimately matter.  I am positive that if any of the four teams mentioned above goes undefeated this year, they will end up in a BCS bowl game.  Still, a ranking this high can't hurt.

I saw that. Good start...

We can really jump if Oregon beats BSU and Utah beats Oregon…but I don’t know how likely that is.

Cougthug

Thats pretty cool of you to write a comment like that without backing it up at all. And what the hell is a thug at BYU? A guy who has a mustache without a permit? Someone who has a girl in their room after 10 pm? No wait are you one of the 10 black guys at BYU?

yewts get soft rank

This ranking will no hold for the yewts very long. Oregon is not a tough team to beat, very easy schedule for the yewts this year. Also louisville is a garbage team. If yewtah wants to be successful then they need to pick up a national championship, not 2 bcs bowl game wins.

Probably won't . . .

. . .but then, our self esteem doesn’t live or die with our football team so we don’t care that much.

We may never again have a team like last year’s, and if we do it will be a pure gift, and we’ll be grateful for it. I think being ranked every so often, having the nation’s best bowl record, and last year’s team, geez, I don’t care about this year’s team because we’re already a success.

One thing is for certain: BYU has never, not once, had a team as good as Utah’s was last year, and everyone in Provo knows it. The rest of us will simply be happy being secure in the knowledge that it will never be as important to us because:

We all have a penis, or are happy to be who we are with, or without, one.

Cheers little man.

Me thinks...

you no use English language good.

“Cougthug”…ahahaha. What exactly does a “Cougthug” look, dress, and act like?

Don’t be jealous, and have fun getting your ass handed to you by Oklahoma.

Bye bye now.

Easy schedule for the Utes?

Just curious when road games v. TCU/BYU and a match-up with Oregon became ‘easy’…

Well . . .

It would be an easy schedule for the Cougars who open against mighty Oklahoma. ut, we play the poor hand we’re dealt.

Hey Cougthug....

Get your head out of the sand and join the 21st century! BYU’s mythical championship was 25 years ago.
