Whittingham offered and rejects Tennessee job

It has been widely reported that Tennessee offered its head coaching position to Kyle Whittingham and he has rejected their offer. Instead, the Vols have hired Louisiana Tech head coach Derek Dooley.

The Salt Lake Tribune also reported Friday afternoon that Whittingham was offered 3 to 4 million to replace Lane Kiffin.

That's a lot of dough no matter how you slice it.

The fact he turned their offer down, though, suggests he just may be a lifer here.

Now we can all relax.
