Presenting the WHITCON meter

Because, you know, it's not a meltdown without an official meter!

After turning down the Vols' offer, the WHITCON meter has been moved back to WHITCON 5 after reaching near-annihilation when it nearly hit 1.

You can leave the bunkers now, folks.

Until the next pending Armageddon, anyway.

Urban Meyer vs Kyle Whittingham

I’m really glad to see KW has class in a college football environment where it is rapidly disappearing. I wasn’t really shocked at all when Urban Meyer went to Florida after 2004, Quite frankly, I don’t blame him for making the move cause It was the smart thing to do from a professional standpoint furthermore, we should have seen it coming after his Bowling Green tenure. My point is Meyer didn’t go to Florida for the money and the nice weather (although that was a HUGE bonus), he did it to win championships.
Kyle Whittingham is whole different story. i have no doubt he could (and would) have found success in Knoxville but in the end it just wasn’t the right move: for him, for his family or for his players. Once again KW’s loyalty shined though just as it did six years ago.

coach whitt is loyal which is something 110 fbs coaches probably could not say.

so that leaves 10 loyal coaches imo. i like what that one recruit said about lane kiffin. he was going to tennessee but when kiffin bolted he now is going to n.c. he told usa today he would not follow a man who chased the money b/c he might jump ship again if something better came along. think whatever his dream nfl job is.

i'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. i was building a house, i don't deserve this, deserves have nothing to do with it. bang. "unforgiven"

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
