Runnin' Utes open conference play today against TCU

Now the games really count.

The up and down Utes will look for some stability this afternoon as they host the Horned Frogs in the first conference game of the season. Utah has won two straight and is actually fresh off an upset victory over the LSU Tigers last week. It surely boosted their confidence and today's game is their first shot at building on that win.

Unfortunately, the Utes have been hardly consistent this season, often losing to teams they have no business losing to and TCU certainly fits that mold. The Frogs are 8-7 on the season and only 1-4 on the road. They did open conference play with a 59-50 win over the Air Force Falcons Wednesday, however, not much is expected out of either team.

This game will show us whether the Utes can put their past head scratching losses behind them or if it will continue to be a trend. I feel good about today's game, though, and fully expect a win.

Hopefully they can do it.

if they can't win this game

they might as well just not show up for the rest of the games..

the conference is looking pretty deep this year so if we want any hope of competing for a conference title we need to win these type of games

Agreed.

Fortunately, I don’t think it’ll come down to that. We’ll be okay.
