Utah comes in at its highest ranking yet this season in this week's Coaches Poll after a few huge upsets in the top-ten shook up the college football landscape.
The Coaches Poll is used by the BCS, so this is the one that counts (along with the Harris Poll) more than the others. Of course, the AP Poll is widely used while discussing teams, so it's not easy to dismiss those results. There, Utah moved up from 11th to 9th.
Other news of note: TCU is 4th again. The Frogs had dropped to 5th last week, but rose a spot with Ohio State's loss. Boise State is now 2nd and expected to lead the initial BCS standings when they're released later today. Remaining at the top, though, is an entirely different story.
When those rankings are released, I'll update you with Utah's standings (expect around 10th).
