Sounds like a title of a crappy chick flick...
...but seriously, does anyone know what it would take? I'm willing to admit that I don't understand the BCS system beyond the fact that the polls account for 2/3, and the computer accounts for 1/3rd of the rankings.
So I was hoping someone could explain to me a scenario where Boise St. is higher in the polls, but gets passed because they are lower than TCU/Utah in the computer component of the rankings.
Say Boise St. finishes 4th and Utah 5th in both polls, but Utah finishes 5th in the computers, and Boise St. 9th. Do I just add the 3 components and divide by 3? In that imaginary scenario, Utah would finish with a composite of 5, and Boise St. 5.67...that can't be right though, can it?
I posted this over on the MWC blog, and am considering doing it on the Boise St. one as well. Might get some fun feedback there :-)
