Sink or Swim Whit's Sticking with Wynn

I can only hope that Coach knows what he's doing. Is there a problem with Cain that we don't know about? Is he willing to sacrifice this season for the next two?

I've said it on other boards. If this had been baseball, we would have been in the bull pen by the end of the first quarter in the last two games. I know they are different sports but the only reason a baseball coach would stick with a starting pitcher who is getting hammered is if he has absolutely no faith that his bullpen could do any better.

So if I'm a coach I would have to ask the same thing about the backup quarterback. Could he do any better against the team in front of him than the starter? If the answer is no then you stick with your starter. But you need to ask yourself a pretty hard question - WHY?

We've seen that Cain is a winner and adds a dimension that Wynn seems to lack - mobility. Wynn has proven (up until the last two games) that he is a better deep passing threat.

So why wouldn't Cain be better than Wynn. Maybe there are some deep concerns about the OLine or the receiving corps. The OLine, while not giving up sacks, is allowing for a lot of penetration and hurry ups. But you'd think that a more mobile quarterback would be the answer to that problem. And we've seen that in the last two games the receivers can't seen to hold onto the ball. Whether or not that's because Wynn can't get it to them or because they've lost all sensations in their fingers is immaterial and again points to the fact that a more mobile quarterback would provide better options.

But, what do I know? If I really knew what to do maybe I'd be making $1.2 million like Whit is.
