Boise State will be Utah's opponent in the Las Vegas Bowl

The Kraft Hunger Bowl has announced it's selecting Nevada, which leaves the Boise St. Broncos as Utah's opponent in the Las Vegas Bowl.

The Broncos were in the BCS title picture up until their loss to the Wolf Pack last week and will prove to be a tough test for a Utes team that has struggled the last four weeks of the regular season.

Of course, that's what we want, right? We want to be tested. Nothing exciting about a romp over Temple or Ohio.

Regardless, the Broncos pose the biggest risk to Utah's bowl winning streak since the Crimson Tide in the 2009 Sugar Bowl. Hopefully we have similar results.

BSUs loss

BSU has defeated Utah 3 times prior. 1998 at Utah: 31-28, 1999 they played Utah and won 26-20 and 2006 at Utah again they lost 36-3. We dont see 2009 win to Bama in the sugar bowl coming thru in those prior years.

If BSUs a bottom dweller in the MWC next year then Utah will be a bottom dweller in the Pac-10 next year. Haha on Utah!! They barely beat BYU this year by one point this season. BYU is the only team that’s worse than they are.

by Rob Bozzuto on Dec 5, 2010 10:43 AM MST up reply actions

Idiot.

First, you replied to the wrong message. I’m assuming you meant to reply to this:

“Completely agree. My level of interest in a bowl game against a MAC opponent is only slightly higher than a regular season matchup against a MWC bottom-dweller.”
by Ute in DC on Dec 4, 2010 7:25 PM PST

In which case you completely misunderstood his meaning. He’s saying he would rather play BSU than a MAC team because playing a MAC team is analogous to playing a MWC bottom-feeder. And if the above isn’t the case, and your post isn’t a retaliatory strike, then it makes absolutely no sense in any context and you are a full on retard.

Second, no one here is bagging on BSU, so why come here being a fuck and jerk? Because you’re just another ignorant BSU fan with no grasp of football outside your own team, that’s why.

If he is able to develop a solid game plan that plays to Cain’s strengths we will have a solid chance to win. If not, Kyle needs to go looking for a new coordinator. This team is way too talented to get knocked around like we were against ND and TCU.

Guys

You know we’re going to lose, and to be honest I don’t even think it will be close. Our team is mediocre, and this is likely the best team Boise has ever fielded. by Robo-Ute on Dec 4, 2010 11:54 PM MST reply actions

It’d be nice to see T-Cain and the the rest of the team come out with some fire and make a game out of it.

by MechEUte on Dec 5, 2010 12:35 AM MST up reply actions

You know,

any team can win on any day. Utah isn’t a pushover matchup for boise at all, I know that for certain. But I mean come on. do you really think we’ll win? Especially with Wynn out. For a couple weeks people around these boards were clamoring for a Terrance Cain as a starter adjustment. I for one NEVER wanted that because I’ve got a memory of greater than a single season, I was there last year and saw him bean the ground at a receivers feet over and over and over again. I watched when he played an unforgivably terrible game against the ducks. And I was there in person last week when he completed as many passes to BYU players as he did to Utah players ( I’d like to put special emphasis on this sentence, as it is not an embellishment). He is, plain and simple, not very good. And we’l need an offensive leader that is more than capable if we want to beat one of the best teams in the nation. Unfortunately we don’t have that. And it’s not going to be pretty

You could make that case

But believe me I’ll always be a Ute fan, I love the team win or lose but that doesn’t mean I need to be delusional about them. I realize that my team CAN win, I’m simply observing the overwhelming possibility that they won’t.

I don’t think that being a fan is telling everybody that your team is going to win always. I’ve seen fans like that and they are the absolute worst (see boise state fans). If my opponent is truly better then I’d be a worthless man if I couldn’t admit it. There is a time to brag and a time to be wary. You are welcome to tell everyone you know that the Utes will beat Boise on Dec. 22. Me, I’l give them my honest assessment. Heart and an inability to face facts aren’t the same thing and I’ll take an ounce of honesty over a pound of empty boasting any day. You can tell me that I’m whats wrong with the MUSS but I’ve been with them for a while now and the fans don’t really change.

by Robo-Ute on Dec 5, 2010 3:51 AM MST up reply actions

But how good is Boise really?

2 games against top 20 opponents, a 3 point win and a 3 point loss. BSU hasn’t lived up to the hype against quality opponents. Utah has a shot to expose BSU for being as overrated as Utah was in the top 5.

by EC Transplant Ute on Dec 5, 2010 2:54 PM MST up reply actions

Very good point, but I don't think BSU is overrated at all.

They’re a pretty good team and, the way Utah has been playing/coached, a pretty good team is more than enough to beat us. Still, they have shown many signs of weakness and I’d wager that TCU, Oregon or Auburn would mop the field with them this year.

by Smoke Bellew on Dec 6, 2010 10:54 AM MST up reply actions

Boise is good

If you have watched them play, it is readily apparent they are very very talented. Keep in mind those two close games were bouts against really good teams that got up for a hyped game. Those are almost always close games.

I think Utah is better than 10 of the teams on BSU’s schedule, but worse than 2 of them. And considering BSU killed everyone besides VT and NV, I think (Hope) it comes out to be a good game.

Although i think BSU is not overrated. Not with Kellen Moore as a QB, and with Utah having to play our backup.

Ok, I'm happy for that clarification

The point is that you shouldn’t be preemptively whining about not being at full strength when your QB was getting pulled anyway. BSU’s #1 middle linebacker is out, as well as our #1 tight end. Injuries happen, especially this time of year. BSU had about 8 guys out last year against TCU in the Fiesta. I kind of think we can talk about it without calling each other names, and telling each other to “kill yourself.” But maybe not….

Boise....... State!!!!!!!!!

by rjohnson_jl on Dec 5, 2010 8:53 PM MST up reply actions

No one was "whining about not being at full strength".

We are discussing it because this is a Utah blog and Utah is our team. You came on with a whole lot of snide, and it was exacerbated by a couple of other real douchie BSU fans, so don’t start throwing around words like “mature”.

Personally, considering Utah’s coaching issues (they have a shitty O coordinator and I’m concerned about Whitt’s seeming lack of fire and preparation this year), I seriously doubt we’ll beat BSU; but I wouldn’t count us out either. Cain can play when given the chance and I’m sure our O-line will be back to full health. Utah is a Jekyll/Hyde team: when they’re bad, they’re shitty, but when they’re playing well, they are almost unstoppable. Well, have to wait and see which team shows.

by MechEUte on Dec 5, 2010 9:16 PM MST up reply actions

You can call it bashing, I guess

I just thought we were talking football, and I thought there was some irony to the “Overrated” chants at Gameday in Salt Lake, and now we have the actual matchup.

I also thought it was ironic that some Ute comments were already preemptively talking about the Wynn injury as a reason for why the Utes might not win, given the fact that he hasn’t been playing that well. The term “full strength” did not originate with me. As I said in my first post, this is where we wanted to go, because we wanted to play the Utes. You are the best opponent out there, after the huge disappointment in Reno. I think you may have confused me with a couple of other idiots that just came on to cause problems.

Didn’t know I had to have a hall pass to comment. Where am I going to talk to Ute fans except on a Ute site? Half my family are Utes, the others are Cougars. I hope to see some of you down there, as long as you don’t pour beer on me or call my family names…. Just kidding, I’m not much of a Max Hall fan either.

Especially true if

The BSU players and their Tater Zoob fan base believe it. We have a real chance in this game if TC and the rest of the boys bring their A game. I for one am glad they found out what was wrong with JW and he won’t play injured. We’re in a much better position with a healthy TC than the walking wounded Wynn we’ve had since ISU.

I’ve read some of the posts in the Idaho Statesman regarding this match up and the Tater Zoobs think they’re better off facing our number two QB – not that they in their delusional minds think they have anything to worry about anyway. Some of the fan base think that playing Utah is a stupid decision and their inevitable win will be meaningless because we are not an AQ team; they’d rather play a 7-5 ACC team. Even those that admit that we are an AQ team (with our pending membership to the PAC-12) have no respect for PAC teams citing their “owning” Oregon and Oregon State.

I think this game is an opportunity for us to give our new conference a welcome in present and show BSU what PAC-12 football is about.

BSU & UTE Fan...

We live in Boise and have followed the Broncos for 10 years..They are a fantastic team and no matter what is said, they are one of the best teams out there. You cannot argue their defense (#4 in the country) and Kellan Moore is one of the best quarterbacks in the NCAA. If you disagree, you have not watched him play. The kicker, Kyle Brotzman, definitely had a bad night on the 26th, but BSU made many other mistakes that lost them the Nevada game. Kyle is strongly supported by Bronco Nation. Not many people could get out there and kick through the uprights. So, unless you have and made it, keep your comments to yourself.

I can say all this and post on this page as I am a Utah Alumni and LOVE the Utes..This will be a good game and there is no doubt that both teams will bring their A game to the field in Las Vegas. Leave the team bashing at the door. Both teams have an amazing fan base. I have witnessed both.

RoboUte has said it well and seems to understand what is in front of both teams come the 22nd. Nuf said…

Two things about the Utes and BSU.

First, to all you delusional BSU donkey-blowers: “unbeatable” Boise, “da bestest team in ds woild” lost a game this year. Don’t forget that.

Second, all Utah is missing is a decent offensive coordinator; I say we steal yours away from you. I’ll bet he’d love a chance at playing for a school in a BCS conference. See, that’s the thing, Utah is an upgrade in every conceivable sense over BSU. So get over your jealousy, already. Ute fans don’t give a shit about you. We already have a delusional fan-base to despise.

Team Bashing.

Really disappointed in reading the post on here. I came in here looking to see if Utah was as excited as we are with the match up. The comments about BSU not supporting their team and team bashing are coming from “fans” doing just what they accuse us of? As for that Boise Idiot. He does not represent BSU fans at all. As I know some of the Sorry post on here don’t represent Utah fans. The comments here about killing off our kicker? Broncos support the team AND Kyle. He didn’t lose the game. It was Team that played and a TEAM that lost. We lost to a very good opponent . Try looking up Kyles stats online. He is Very talented.Missing the field goal doesn’t take that talent away nor does us losing ONE game make us any less talented. We look forward to a great game with Utah. We expect both teams to come prepared to win. Good luck to both teams.

No Utah fan disrespects BSU

BSU is a top 5 team (IMO), and the absolute best team we could have possibly been matched up with this bowl season. In all honesty, there is no reason BSU should not be in a BCS bowl game this year, other than the unspoken requirement that non-AQ teams have to go 12-0 to be considered.

Any and all negative comments are just your typical rhetoric directed at BSU363, and other BSU fans that have been bashing on Utah for the last 4 weeks, in attempts to try and discredit TCU.

But no one actually thinks BSU is overrated. Not from this fanbase in any case.

Lol.. Well we dont have thin skins after our loss to Nevada and all the negativity surrounding it. Were a tough team as our win yesterday showed. We also have tough fans. We kind roll with the punches. We were disappointed to lose of course. Crushed is a better word but we still had two games left and we still needed to bring our best game no matter who we play..

And I do agree that the BSU fan is an idiot. But do you really think that comments about our kicker offing himself are much better? I mean really??

No

That’s why I made no such comments. Read again, carefully this time.

As a few folks here have noted, Boise is tough and is a very tough game no matter who you are, I’ve said same same to anyone who would listen for decades. My favorite BSU player from the past was David Huges, remember him?

I have nothing but respect for Moore, he’d start at more than one SEC school, the way he gets the ball outta there and that pass he tossed at Nevada—impressive. I’d take him over any of our QBs, any day.

Its called Dark Humour..

…if you have ever worked in an ER (like I have as an EMT at the University of Utah hospital) you’ll hear much, much worse, but Boise St. doesn’t have a medical school, do they? One reason they will never be part of the Pac.

It’s a coping mechanism for all the dark tragedy people deal with on a daily basis… It doesn’t mean they don’t care, it means they care so much they have to find a way to deal with it. So it crosses over to real life from time to time. As our Pac-12 CGB’ers would say Deal With It.

Previewing some of your stud athletes and wondering mostly which team of ours will show. The team really hasn’t come together like they thought it would and the defense has had moments of brilliance (especially promising for us is freshman Brian Blechen in the backfield) but some serious lapses. We’re not nearly as experienced a team as Boise is right now and that is what concerns me.

Our strength is likely our lines, QB play is shaky.

Jeeze, Internet

Can’t we all just get along? BSU is a fantastic team who has played better than Utah all season long, and Utah and Coach Whit have three weeks to prepare for them. It’s going to be great, hopefully.

Here’s a question. Rather lose (in a respectable fashion, no TCU game here) to BSU, or beat the crap out of Ohio or someone?

by Jaziggy on Dec 5, 2010 9:46 PM MST reply actions

december is beautiful

Despite the ridiculous comments on here from both BSU and Utah fans, reading through all of this is just getting me more excited. There definitely is an awesome atmosphere around bowl games. I have always been a little worried about Cain and Wynn even when we won. And all those fears were manifested in the TCU and ND (and BYU) games. There is something wrong with Utah’s offense that needs fixing, but I think it is a combo of many things. The defense has also played great one week, and then been picked apart the next. I hope Utah can come out firing on all cylinders and make it a great game, otherwise Boise will roll. But for you Boise fans who are upset with the Vegas bowl, just remember that things could be lots worse – I think you are much better off than Nevada’s game, or having to play in the other WAC bowls. And don’t forget – if you lose a game next year but win the MWC – this is where you end up.

BSU will never

have a med school, Idaho State has the state medical charter and if it ever happens it will be via Idaho State. The only thing to be proud of in Boise is how well Boise state community college has performed recently at football. Your academics are garbage, in fact many of your better programs that you claim to offer have to be completed through ISU/UI faculty at the UI/ISU satellite campus. The truth is that your football program is a financial leach of Idahos real academic institutions. BSU spends as much on their athletic program as Utah does, and there is no way in hell it brings in the same amount of money as Utah, that money ends up coming out of the state education budget. You go undefeated last year and only sell out 3 games and now you want to expand the stadium? I eagerly await the day that BSU football goes bankrupt in their quest for relevance. Then my dad will no longer have to take pay cuts (high school teacher) for BSU to have a good football team. And by the way, almost every person in Idaho that is educated hates BSU.

In case you haven’t noticed, this is a SPORTS blog, not a medical blog, legal blog, business blog, etc. You are vastly overrated at SPORTS, especially football, so you shout and scream “look, you’re stupid, we’re smart!” Whatever keeps you from crime, I guess.

I just checked out the Boise blog and there are very few to no comments from Utah fans that are just crap like this. So why don’t you keep it off of here. You have left this comment at least 3 TIMES. Who cares if Boise beat Utah in the 80s and in ’06? You even left a comment saying Boise has the greatest team in the history of college football. SERIOUSLY? There are schools that have been playing football since before your college even EXISTED, including the University of Utah.

By the increase in losses you predict, you think the PAC12 is a LOT better than the MWC.

So our record in the MWC is 10-2. You say that by switching to the PAC12 we will go 2-12 or 1-11.

Our only MWC loss is to TCU who will no longer be in the MWC when you join.

Enjoy your hollow victories over our sloppy seconds.

and was never that good to begin with. Your time to be exposed (again) is coming on December 22. And at least 10 more times a season from now on. If my Broncos were going to the Pac, we’d win at least 11 to 12 games every single year and you know it.

by BSU363 on Dec 7, 2010 9:45 AM MST up reply actions   1 recs

Do you think 1 + 1 = 2 ?

1) You say Utah sucks and was never good to begin with.
2) You know we went 7-1 in the MWC and 10-2 overall with our only MWC loss coming to TCU, who is also leaving the MWC
3) You then admit a team capable of going 10-2 in the MWC would only go 2-10 or 1-11 in the PAC 12.
4) Then you are unable to admit that you think the PAC 12 is much better than the MWC.

In your words, Utah will go from an 83% win rate to an 8% win rate simply by playing against the PAC12 instead of the MWC. You may not be smart enough to realize it, but you are admitting that you think the PAC12 is way better.

BSU can beat Utah but....

You have to do it on the field in Vegas. Utah and BSU have both proven that they can beat BCS schools. In fact Utah and BSU are both repeat BCS busters. Let the pundits prognosticate.

In 1998 the national media didn’t give our basketball team a prayer and we made the NCAA Finals.

Nobody gave us a shot in the Sugar Bowl against the Tide and they rolled down the toilet bowl.

So if Utah shows up to play BSU has a game. And BSU has something to prove? Utah’s last two opponents SDSU and YBU are bowl teams as are the teams we lost to. We were drunk and asleep at the wheel for the TCU game and hungover at Notre Dame. Both teams in bowls. So don’t worry Broncos, the Utes have plenty to show up and prove.

If we show up with our A game the Indian just may make the Bronco a gelding.

The goal of every Ute fan should be to caffeinate Cosmo's punch and watch him self combust.

This is my last shot at the troll,so here goes....

You want facts BSU363? I’ll give em’ to you strait:

FACT: BSU has been screwed but not anymore than we were screwed in 2008.
FACT: Going to your opponents blog and talking crap doesn’t make you brave or a fan ,it shows how much of a spineless loser you are
FACT: You may have 2 BCS wins, but we did it first and we did it better both times
FACT: You get no respect because you play in the WAC
FACT: You want to call us overrated? the two GOOD teams on your schedule either played you close or beat you. (okay, I’ll give you a pass on Hawaii, you beat them pretty good)
FACT: December 22 will be a hell of a game
FACT: we canceled the BSU series cause we still want to play BYU

Just because your ass hurts from falling off the smurf bandwagon (thanks to that speed bump called Nevada)and your team has to play in Vegas doesn’t give you the right to talk crap here. No BCS for you loser, so go cry somewhere else. You can shout 36-3 all day for all we care but the only score you should care about is 31-34

Now that I’m done with BSU363, I got to point out I got nothing but respect for BSU and what it’s been able to do. You guys got a hell of a team and we got our work cut out for us. I just wish you didn’t have rotten apples like 363, so I could appreciate your fan base a lot more.

Butthurt little baby. I told the truth and you are spinning the real facts

FACT: BSU has been screwed but not anymore than we were screwed in 2008.

No, we were legitimately screwed out of a BCS game in 2004 because of you. BSU and Louisville were clearly the two best non-AQs that year and literally everybody knew it. Except for the extra chromosomed Ute fan.

FACT: Going to your opponents blog and talking crap doesn’t make you brave or a fan ,it shows how much of a spineless loser you are

And the fact that you throw a major hissyfit because we tell the bitter truth about your program makes you an even bigger spineless loser.

FACT: You may have 2 BCS wins, but we did it first and we did it better both times

And you shouldn’t have done it first, either. Beating Pitt doesn’t count and Alabama was a match-up of two vastly overrated teams.

FACT: You get no respect because you play in the WAC

And you don’t get any respect because you play in the MWC. And you’ll continue to not get respect when you will be able to count on one hand the number of wins you’ll have in the Pac 12 in the next decade.

FACT: You want to call us overrated? the two GOOD teams on your schedule either played you close or beat you. (okay, I’ll give you a pass on Hawaii, you beat them pretty good)

And both of those teams would have beaten you by a good 14 points if not more.

FACT: December 22 will be a hell of a game

It’ll be another Boise State demolition like always.

FACT: we canceled the BSU series cause we still want to play BYU

Still doesn’t change the fact that you’re scared, literally scared of playing us.

You think Boise and Louisville were the best in 04? Did you even watch Utah? The coaching staff Urban Meyer put together was unreal and Alex Smith and company dominated every game that year. You think utah is gonna get smashed every year in the Pac-12? Well you know what? That still beats going to Laramie and Albuquerque! by ute33 on Dec 6, 2010 9:46 AM MST up reply actions

I did

Luckiest damn team I’ve ever seen. Arizona should have beaten you, Texas A&M was terrible, and so were North Carolina and Utah State. With that schedule, we would have beat all of them by at least 4 TDs, possibly more.

But Louisville is the one who got screwed in all actuality. They were better with one loss that year than you were with zero.

by BSU363 on Dec 6, 2010 9:53 AM MST up reply actions

Good lord, you are an idiot
Arizona should have beaten you.

Right, that’s why we won 23-6. But man, Arizona sure was close to winning that one.

Texas A&M was terrible, and so were North Carolina and Utah State

And your schedule was so much tougher. That Idaho game sure is a bitch. I’ll give you Oregon State, they’re usually decent. But you can’t say that your schedule as a whole was really tougher than ours.

With that schedule, we would have beat all of them by at least 4 TDs, possibly more.

For whatever it’s worth to someone like you who is clearly not playing with a full deck, we did beat Utah State and North Carolina by more than 4 TDs. Shame, our victories over the other two were by “only” 17 and 20 points, respectively. I guess those actual margins of victory are greatly inferior to hypothetical, speculative 28-point margins, you’re right.

Also, BYU was one of your OOC opponents that year, which brings me to my final point.

That year, in Boise, you beat BYU by 1 (28-27). That same year, in SLC, we beat BYU by 31. This was our one common opponent that season — we beat them by 30 more points than you beat them by.

That Utah team was dominant. Our closest game was 14 points. You guys had three games closer than that that season. Hell, it took you 2 OTs to beat a San Jose State team that finished the season 2-9. Yeah, right, you guys sure deserved that BCS bid over us that year.

Louisville may have had an argument, but for that loss. Funny, you Boise fans are typically on the “you guys having a loss automatically makes our undefeated team better than your one-loss team” train, but I guess only when it suits your narrative.

by shandonfan on Dec 6, 2010 5:26 PM MST up reply actions

No you are the idiot

Arizona: any team that was worth a damn that year wouldn’t have only beaten them 23-6. That’s not dominance, moron. We would have beat Arizona 56-6 at least.

So what if you did beat Utah State and North Carolina by that big of a margin, BSU would have done even better and all of you know it.

San Jose State game that year started at 9am, mainly to protect crappy teams like Utah and keep real teams like Boise State out of the picture. Memory isn’t quite so sharp now, is it?

And we would have beaten The Cult by a lot more if it weren’t for the fact that their punter illegally hut our punt returner and a flag wasn’t called. Can’t cheat your way out of all of ’em.

In your mind Boise sure does well in games they never played.

I am sure you would have beaten BYU by 40 points instead of 1 point if it hadn’t been for that “illegal hit” you called as the sideline ref. Now in your imagination reality you can say this imaginary 40 point win is greater than our real 30 point win. Then when you call shandonfan an idiot you can think you are right because you know what really happened in your head movies.

lol, "head movies"

I like that phrase. Perfectly describes what’s going on in BSU363’s mind. It’s actually quite entertaining to check in on this thread once a day to see what he’s said lately.

Using his approach, I would be totally justified in saying: “OMG, guys, we totally would have beaten Auburn this season if we had played them! Based on no actual facts, I’m 100% confident we would have won by at least five touchdowns!” By his own rules, my “head movie” of Brandon Burton picking off Cam Newton four times while Wynn threw for 550 yards and 6 TD passes en route to a 56-17 Utah victory is a definitive fact that cannot possibly be argued against by any other fans.

by Smoke Bellew on Dec 6, 2010 11:17 AM MST up reply actions

I don't think Boise State's own would claim him...

…unfortunately, someone under a “Utah” moniker will probably show up on OBNUG and make us look bad at some point.

The key is that we understand that this guy isn’t really a BSU fan, just some guy who needs validation, but is seeking it through negative channels. It’s sad really.

I’m a member of OBNUG, and for the most part their fans have been respectful about the match-up. Sure they wanted a better opponent…one that would validate their season…and I can’t say that I blame them. To me, they’re a top 5 team, and they deserve a top 10 opponent from a AQ conference. Beating us doesn’t validate their season, as we’re already viewed as an overrated team.

…for us though, it’s a no-lose scenario. We’re supposed to lose, so it really wouldn’t take much away from the season…

…but if we keep it close, or even win, it becomes an exclamation point on what was kind of a disappointing season. I’m hoping that the Boise St. team will be disheartened they didn’t get a better match-up, and we can make a game of it.

Ridiculous.

I’ve been reading this blog for a few years now and I’ve never chimed in before, because I never have read such ridiculous comments in my life. BSU363 you are the most delusional, retarded fan I have ever had to read comments from. My personal favorite was the greatest team in history comment. Really? How could you say something so ridiculous? The greatest team in history doesn’t lose in overtime to UNR sorry. Lay off the bong hits douche bag and come back to reality. Broncos are a good team this year, no arguments here. But lets be realistic if you would have managed to get into the title game you would have gotten destroyed by Auburn, or Oregon. You should be glad your kicker saved you the embarrassment. You lost the toughest game you had this year, just like my Utes. So pull that blue dick out of your mouth, suck up your pride, and go back to your loser construction job, if you really have a job.

Utah isn’t the best team this year thats for sure. But thats ok, we lost 6 players, 6 count em, to the draft last year. Your community college sent 1? Congrats. The college football world is so impressed by your program. A 10 win regular season starting as many frosh and sophs as Utah has is an accomplishment for any program. We will post another 10 winning season next year while you go 5-7 after losing all the decent players you have this year. HAHAHA

In the past 5 bowl games Utah has came out and played with all their fire. Our Coach knows how to prepare a game plan for bowl games. We are 5-0 in the past game, mainly against teams ranked higher than us. So it’s you that should be concerned about the outcome of the game. Boise is 2-3 in their last bowl games and plays uninspired when they get left out of the BCS. Losing to East Carolina hahaha embarrassing. Get real douche bags.

I’m sorry that your school has the academic reputation of a community college and that is the only reason the PAC-10 would never allow you to join their conference. I’m sorry that Utah is the original BCS buster, I’m sorry that we are your better in every way, but such is life, deal with it. We will be competing for a Rose bowl berth, and a shot at a NC, something your community college will NEVER do. So enjoy the embarrassment in Vegas at the hands of our backup QB in a couple weeks. Hopefully Chris Peterson take the Miami or Michigan job so I don’t have to hear from you losers again. Suck it!

by nthn on Dec 6, 2010 12:16 PM MST reply actions

To be fair we only lost 5 players from the entire roster last year, and only 1 starter, who happened to be a first round pick. But, even in spite of the loss, we are a better team this year then last.

I agree with you though in that I am a little concerned about the team playing uninspired in the bowl game. We may have seen a little of that against USU last Saturday. And, with Utah’s history of being prepared for bowl games, I could see this game going either way. Utah had a better season then expected and I feel that this is one of the best/toughest match ups available to us outside of a bcs game and hopefully the players see it that way as well.

Also sorry you have a troll problem. We’ve had them pretty bad this year, especially after our loss to Reno ;0)

Lame like a one-legged horse… or a half-witted, delusional, tooth-sucking, sheep-fucking, crack-smoking, bicycle seat sniffing, cross-burning, construction-managing, stank-ass loser of a BSU fan. :D

You suck.

I keep accidentally eating my pets. Maybe I should get something less appetizing, like a cat instead of a Twinkie.

Mature response.

Try being better fans to people who are better than you. Like the team that’s going to beat you senseless on the 22nd.

You suck too.

Although I’m pretty sure you’re the same person.

So let me get this straight

Someone who doesn’t agree with your arrogant “we’re such better people than you are” mindset, you immediately say to them “you suck”. Real winner, you are.

All good points!

Hey, when is Chris Peterson gonna leave? He must be holding out for his dream job. Anybody have any info on where he’s from and who is influences were? I still think we ought to hire Boise’s O coordinator away from them; I don’t know much about him, but he has got to be better than what we have.

NOOO!!!

Stay away from our coordinators! We covet them, just like we do Petersen, and keep them as secluded as possible so that outside noise (Florida, Pitt, etc.) is as distorted as can possibly be. I can’t wait for this game, especially with Utah having that 9 game winning streak in bowl games and, even though he’s the backup, a quarterback who has only lost one of the games in which he started. This is much better than playing BC in the fight hunger bowl.

Finally!

A real Boise fan instead of a trolling douche with like 5 screen names. :D

We (Utah fans) are all looking forward to the game as well. We really do respect the program BSU has built and are glad to not be stuck playing Toledo. I think most of us would’ve preferred a bowl with Notre Dame for purposes of a rematch, but, other than a BCS game, there’s no one else we’d rather see our team play.

I’ll be the first to admit this could go very bad for the Utes, but that depends on which team shows up. They fell apart for two and half games, but seem to be getting some of their cohesiveness back and that bodes ill for Boise because when they’re playing well, they’re damn-near unstoppable.
