Our Dear Leader spoke with Sporting News about a wide variety of topics and it's a good read.
On conference expansion, Whittingham had this to say:
SN: There has been a lot of conference expansion talk. Where do you sit in that discussion?
KW: There are a lot of rumors flying around. The one thing we know for certain is we play in the Mountain WestConference , and that's what our focus is. As a coach, we're just trying to win games wherever we're at to put us on the BCS platform.
Predictably, not much was said on the matter.

we might just have another special year this coming season.
