Jim Boylen has interviewed for the Iowa job
FOX Sports is reporting that Utah head coach Jim Boylen has interviewed for the Iowa job. It's a move that suggests he's at least interested in the program and if an offer is made, might just be on his way out of Salt Lake City.
Of course, I still find it hard to believe the Hawkeyes would want a man coming off a 17-loss season. There certainly isn't any sizzle with this hire and for a program that has lost a startling amount of fans since the last coaching hire, you've got to think they're looking for at least a bigger splash than a guy who hasn't done entirely bad at Utah - but is far from producing a resume even remotely similar to the last coach they hired and then fired.
But this is something to keep an eye on. We'll probably not hear anything until Dayton - who is fighting in the NIT right now - ends their season. Iowa has reportedly shown interest in Brian Gregory, who, like Boylen, was a Michigan State assistant before taking the Flyers' job.

COACH
Who would we look at if Boylen left for IOWA? Would we hire an assistant or try to get a big to come in and revive the program?
