Deseret News: USC trustees informed P10 has invited Utah

PrintYou can add this to the growing list of evidence that suggests Utah is Pac-Ten bound. The Deseret News is reporting today the USC trustees were told by the Pacific Ten of their intentions to invite Utah for the 2011 (it seems) season.
A Southern California source said at USC's trustees meeting Tuesday, they were told that the Pac-10 had authorized the negotiation of an offer to Utah. Everything is solid from the conference's standpoint and was subject only to Utah's agreement on terms.
So, as mentioned in the article, Utah to the conference seems like a formality now and I highly doubt the University is going to vote against leaving the Mountain West (if they haven't voted already).

You say that you are a Research University right? I hope you will try to clear some of the brain fry that came with that 50/50 and find reality. Welcome to the Pac-10!!! Look forward to playing you in the future. It won’t be much of a game for you until we can afford to ditch Dan Hawkins, but we look forward to a new found rivalry once we find our own sense of reality. GO BUFFS!!

i moved here from so-cal 13 years ago and have been an SC fan most of my life, Since i started living here i have really become a huge Ute fan. If this comes to fruition, looks like i will be tossing all my SC gear in the garbage (dunno how well it would sell on ebay with all the trouble they are in). Kinda wish that the Y were going with us so we could have the rivalry game at end of season, but you know this is a whathaveyoudoneformelately society and cant keep livin off of some 26 yr old psuedo nat’l championship. Maybe the y can replace the rivalry game with them donkeys from Boise….good luck with that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think the pac 10 has any problem with religion or religious people
Only religious affiliation within a University, because the perception is that there is a world view that is being pushed by such institutions that could get in the way of free thought, expression, and research.
