Utes ranked 23rd in NCAA Football 2011
Not sure how many of you care, but Utah is ranked 23rd in NCAA Football 2011. The only other Mountain West team ranked is TCU at 8th.

I'm not buying that game...
unless it allows you to put the Utes in the PAC 12!

I know, right?
But I doubt they put in expansion teams.
Which means only one season and it’s already dated.
they did a preseason rank of 2011 already?
college football is going to take over the nfl as the number 1 sport in america. currently number 2. if you count all the magazines on college football and the nfl college football comes on top. phil steele has has overall magazine and breaks down the conferences in regions. so have a few of his copetitors. they may never get the ratings of one super bowl but if you took all 35 or 36 colllege football bowls they would beat the nfl playoffs. alot of rabid fans of college football don’t have a nfl team to cheer for. the states are utah, alabama, oregon, nevada, okie, kansas, virginia, kentucky, arkansas, mississippi, idaho and nebraska.

No no no
NCAA 11 is a representation of this coming season, 2010-11.
They can’t rank teams for 2011 without knowing who committed to play where! :)

this is the 2010 season. 2011 should not be in there.
the bcs ncg is played in very early january of 2011 but it’s for the 2010 bcs national champion.

It's a video game...
Generally video games come out one year in advance to the season they’re representing.
The last NCAA game was NCAA Football 2010.
i don't play video games so i guess i just learned something.

WHOA.
Oregon at 4th?! I’m shocked.
Onto victory urge the heroes, of our mighty Oregon!

Yeah...you guys are a tad overrated. :P
So let’s see. The Pac-Ten has the following ranked teams:
1. Oregon (4th)
2. SC (13th)
3. Oregon State (19th)
4. Utah (23rd)
Not bad.
Big 12 (10) only has 2
Suck on that one…:D
Pac-12.
Get used to saying it.

I wonder if it is too late for them to make the changes.
Put the teams in the correct conferences. The problem, of course, is that nobody knows yet how the new conferences are going to work (divisions, championship, logos, names, etc). They’d have to guess. Still better than having teams in the wrong conferences entirely.
I know in one of the recent versions (2010?) you could put the teams in whatever conference you want, so maybe we can still do that for 2011. I’ll wait until we know more.

This.
And they’ve been incorporating a feature lately that let’s you realign the conferences the way you see fit, but only if you just swap teams I think.
So if you want to go ahead and kick out Stanfurd and put yourselves in, go right ahead!

I think what I'll do is put all of the PAC 12 teams in the Big 12
then put the current Big 12 (10) teams in the PAC 10. Hopefully by July we’ll know the divisions and I can make it as accurate as possible. The problem will be the big 10(12). Guess I’ll have to put Nebraska in the WAC.

True. Probably a better solution.
So the 2011 NCAA conferences will be as follows:
ACC, SEC, Big East, CUSA, MAC, Sun Belt: Same as always
Big 12: all current PAC 10 teams plus Utah and CU
PAC 10: all current Big 12 (10) teams
Big 10: current big 10 (12) minus Indiana and plus Nebraska
MWC: current MWC plus Boise
WAC: current WAC plus Indiana.

TCU @ 8
As a Ute . . . let me say go Horned Frogs . . . they are in a great position for a big take down . . . except wait a minute . . . 2010 the Utes are still in the MWC. Ah well, maybe 2012!
