I see that EA Sports is coming out with a video game on college football.

I have a couple of questions. I don't play any video games b/c my hobby is sports wagering and poker. I saw a commercial for it and i saw quite a few ex qb's endorsing it. Tim Tebow and Colt McCoy were two of them. Now that they are pros that get paid for their images being used in the game correct? Are the offensive lineman and defensive players just images with no names on their back? Are the qb's just the ones with names on their jersey or are other skill position players have their names(on the back of the jerseys) from the past college football glory? Just curious.

No player currently playing college ball can be in the game...

They’re generic players that look somewhat similar to the player.

So in the initial season, all players will have no name on their back. They’ll just have numbers. If you do a dynasty, tho, by year two (when you’re recruiting), players are named because they don’t exist in the real world.

By your fifth or sixth year, you’ll have a team filled with names because all the real players will have graduated.

they get paid money right? after their college careers are over.

I'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. Glory favors the bold. Chance favors the prepared mind. Luck, well i have that too. University of Utah goes to the Pac-12 conference in 2011. I expect them to compete immediately for the conference CG. I still will always follow the Mountain West Conference. Brock Lesnar will defeat Cain Velasquez and face the winner of Junior Dos Santos vs Roy Nelson where he will defeat JDS and stake his claim as pound for pound champion.

Not a cent....

The QB from Arizona St. (can’t remember his name) tried to sue EA cause the player in the game not only had his number, it also had the same height, weight and was left handed like him.
I also recall one of the former players from UCLA (who was on a basketball team in the 60’s) is trying to sue EA too. (In NCAA BB, there are several “classic” teams you can play)

I think that's true for the actual college players.

But what about the players like BJ who are no longer college players and are on the cover? I’m sure they’re paid.

Everyone hates a pink-shirt-wearing communist.
