Crazy Lady among ESPN's Super Fans
18. Terri Jackson (Utah) There aren't many people who would find the nickname "Crazy Lady" to be flattering. Terri Jackson is one of them who does.
Having graduated more than three decades ago from Utah, she still has the energy of a college student, which she demonstrates with her regular pre-fourth-quarter dance routine that involves a lot of shoulder shakes and flying fists. The entire stadium turns to her before the final 15 minutes, with the students chanting, "Cra-zy La-dy." She's been doing it since 2000.
Jackson said she and her husband might hit the road for each game in the 2011 season to check out all the new venues in the Utes' next conference.

Anyone else remember what the real tradition is between the 3rd and 4th quarters?
Am I just making myself feel old that I remember the original “Bubbles” and her dancing between the 3rd and 4th. The band still plays the same song, but Bubbles retired in the mid to late 90s. We had a few years with no one and this lady came in a bit later. I admire her cheering, but it just isn’t the same.
I came around to Crazy Lady after the 2007 USU game...
That was probably the coldest September game in Utah football history. A snow storm had hit the day of the game (it was freakin’ SEPTEMBER!) and the Utes were still trying to figure out things that season (they had lost to UNLV a week before). So the crowd was crap to begin with. By the second half, it was even worse. But sure enough, at the start of the fourth (when there was maybe only 2,000 fans left), Crazy Lady made her way out.
Can’t hate on that.
She is the MUSS's version of Bubbles
I also remember Bubbles, and when I saw Crazy Lady for the 1st time I was thinking, “that lady is way to young to be Bubbles” and was mostly confused.
I liked Bubbles better, but most of the current students of the U have no idea who she was, and think the Crazy Lady is one of a kind. So the MUSS was born in about 2002 with the UFFC (Utah Football Fan Club), and Crazy Lady is more or less the bubbles for the newer generation of Utah fans.
It’s just a tradition thing I guess. So long as we have a white-haired lady who does a crazy dance, we will probably be satisfied.
I don't pour beer on Max Hall's family often, but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis.
That's pretty much how it happened...
A lot of purists complain she is no Bubbles. However, it’s something for a program that lacks true tradition (and that isn’t a knock on Utah. it’s just hard to find something original and keep with it for years).
I have no problem with Crazy Lady.
Me Neither...
So long as it doesn’t cut into the 4th quarter. Sometimes they start the 4th quarter without waiting for her to finish, and I miss the 1st play. I have made a more concerted effort in recent years to keep an eye on the field to make sure they aren’t about to start anyway.
Also, 2 years ago, both Sylvester and Sean Smith were doing the same dance on the field, which was more fun to watch than the crazy lady anyway.
