The Morning Blitz: Daily Utah links
Looks like we've hit the typical middle rut of fall camp. Though Kyle Whittingham noted the team wasn't terrible, he also went out of his way to suggest they weren't anything great. But that's to be expected when you're entering the middle portion of camp. You're going to hit walls and have days where everything is just unfortunately mundane.
We've all been there. I think it's similar to when you get back from summer vacation. That first week is pretty easy, as you're charged and ready to go. Then, as you're easing into the typical activity of the schedule, you kind of find yourself in a lull. It's temporary (or in my case, carried over for pretty much all my education), but it is what it is.
For the Utes, they still look okay and that's all that matters. They appear to be making strides and unless the Coaches are blowing smoke up our butts, they're looking about as good as we could have hoped.
Now hopefully it continues this week.

a little more than 2 week to the pitt game and the line has gone from
utah -2.5 to utah -4.
I'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. Glory favors the bold. Chance favors the prepared mind. Luck, well i have that too. University of Utah goes to the Pac-12 conference in 2011. I expect them to compete immediately for the conference CG. Brock Lesnar will defeat Cain Velasquez. Womens MMA, the next big thing in sports. 3 weeks till the first game of college football. UTAH vs Pitt. September 2nd 2010.

You know what I love?
That Manis might have the goods to stick and start at linebacker. A smart, 6’5" 240 pound linebacker?
Please, please make him nasty . . .
I'm a little disappointed
That you didn’t link this story about BYU possibly going independent in football but rejoining the WAC in every other sport
I’m kind of interested to know what you guys think of this. Personally I think they are crazy if they think they will get a deal similar to Notre Dame. They need to lay of the Mormon Tea or something.
Say what you mean, and say it mean. - Clint Ruin
Actually . . .
It’s a good idea. Transfers from other schools can get into an independent more easily. They can schedule a tough slate and guarantee greater TV coverage, access ot better talent for recruiting, and they don’t have to share bowl dollars with anyone. Plus, in the WAC where they are placing all other sports???
Their Basketball team should always, always be going to the NCAA baby.
And best of all, it’s a way to give Boise and TCU the finger on the way out since BYU can’t compete with them inside the MWC but might be able to if tehir recruiting base improves.
To be fair, this was done BEFORE that story broke...
So yeah…
And after today, I will not be talking about BYU.
