PrintOkay, so we admit it's been a crazy summer for the conference. The most crazy summer on record. Utah left for the P-10. Boise State joined. BYU is in limbo. Now they've got Fresno and Nevada coming in soon.
You couldn't script a more entertaining last few weeks.
But what if this all transpired on the popular social networking site Facebook? How would it look? Well wonder no longer, as I've taken the initiative of recreating this summer's events solely for Facebook.

it was very good but karl benson would like to take 1 hour of your precious time to say
the mwc stabbed us in the back and so did those unloyal schools nevada and fresno. that took 1 hour for him to say that. . i just shortened it.
I'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. Glory favors the bold. Chance favors the prepared mind. Luck, well i have that too. University of Utah goes to the Pac-12 conference in 2011. I expect them to compete immediately for the conference CG. Brock Lesnar will defeat Cain Velasquez. Womens MMA, the next big thing in sports. 2 weeks till the first game of college football. UTAH vs Pitt. September 2nd 2010.

Would have loved to have CSU’s Facebook prematurely announce BYU leaving then claim they were “hacked.” Great job though.

Obviously similar due to the subject matter.
However, my approach is nowhere near the same as that link and the one posted by nwhiteout – which appears to have been written before your link.
But they all seem funny. So if you’re comparing what I did to those two, great and thanks!
They are all comparable.
Some a bit funnier than others.
I'd say I got my idea more from actually watching people bicker back and forth on FB.
I don’t have many BYU fans on my account, but I have Ute fans who do and it was interesting watching the back and forth between them. At times, it bordered on juvenile and that’s when I wondered what it would’ve been like had this whole summer played out on FB.
this one is better
because of the facebook interface. Quit complaining and give JazzyUte credit for putting together an amazing piece of work.

You can probably just keep the criticism to yourself. It’s original enough. It’s not like no one has ever used facebook as material for a joke.

I'm just glad we got out of it so early...
Ours was a mess, too. We had actually hear rumblings all the way back in January that Utah could bolt for the P-10. Then the news died until some tiny rumors were leaked and eventually, the news broke about the Big 12’s best bolting for the P-10. At that point, we looked SOL and it was pretty devastating.
But once the news started coming hourly, we crawled back into the picture and eventually got our invite.
Of course, had Utah never bolted for the P-10, BYU probably doesn’t freak out and decide to leave the MWC for the WAC, which means Fresno and Nevada are never invited and, ultimately, things stay the same as they were this time last week.
Yea...
I grew up in Big 12 country but live in SEC country now. I was pretty devastated when I heard about the Big 12 falling apart. I’m happy it wasn’t worse that it was. (For now anyway) I don’t keep up with the conferences west of the Big 12 like I wish I did. And around here, the news is SEC 24/7.
