Elevation and early winters
I haven't noticed anyone talking this subject yet so...
- The elevation difference
- The unpredictable winds
Boise would have had quite a different game had the winds been swirling and punts and passes going sideways like a few games Utah has had there. When the winds get like that you have to grind it out on the ground and then the thin air becomes a disadvantage instead of making it easier for kickers.
Now I know that Colorado and Utah are no where near 8,000 ft and their stadiums are much more enclosed than War Memorial; Still having direct experience with lung capacity between here and San Diego; Also being that the Ice Bowl is one of my all time favorite Utah memories and having to Trick'O"Treat on Halloween in the snow....

I don't think snow will be a factor.
The last game I remember it snowing at was Utah State in 2007, though that was in September!
Other than that, there just hasn’t been many snow games over the years.
Cold could be a factor, though. I don’t think it ever gets as cold in the NW as it does in Salt Lake during the winter months. Especially when we’re looking at a large number of night games.
You have forgotten the "Ice Bowl"!?!
Shame on you Jazzy!
