Dear Pac-10 vets...let's define "The Grind".

Because I love beating the proverbial dead horse...and because I can't get to sleep...I want to put form to this amorphous concept of "The Grind".

I've come up with a few questions that should start us in the right direction. Please answer, and perhaps add a few of your own where appropriate...

Do only BCS conference schools face "The Grind"?
Does "The Grind" extend to the Big East or ACC?
How many tough games do you have to play to be considered in "The Grind"?
How highly does a team have to be ranked (use Sagarin) to be considered part of "The Grind"?
Does "The Grind" make non-BCS foes part of "The Grind"?
Do these teams have to be in a row in order to be considered part of "The Grind"?
Do bye weeks affect "The Grind"?
When does "The Grind" start?
Does "The Grind" end?
Are bowl games part of "The Grind"?
Is "The Grind" something that happens to a BYU co-ed when her boyfriend is possessed by impure thoughts?

Let's hash this out once and for all, my Pac-12 brothers. (It's nice to say that...even if we are the kid brother who's currently getting an atomic wedgie...) Send me your thoughts!
