Overachievers or underachievers?

As I have watched our three conference games, I find myself asking a certain question question.  Is this football team a group of overachievers or underachievers?  Is the talent level in the PAC so great that the team overachieves in the first half and then the talent gap shows in the second?  Or is this a good team with nearly equal talent showing up in the first half, then underachieving in the second?

After the USC game, I really liked our chances in the conference.  After the first half of the Washington game, I thought we would come back in the second, settle down and run away with the game.  Going into half time of the ASU game, I thought it would be a close defensive battle.  I knew our offense wasn't going to put up 24+ points, but I didn't think ASU would come in and score the way they did either.

I guess it comes down to me not knowing how to feel.  Have these last two games merely been reality showing itself, or is Utah just handing games to the other team?  And I don't mean Utah is giving up, so don't take it that way.  Maybe this is me just rambling on about some nonsensical, underdeveloped thought, but this is non the less where I am right now.  I've spent the last two games on a roller-coaster.  YES!!!  DAMN IT!!!  YES!!!  F**K!!!, followed by a steady stream of ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!?!

I think we will win in the PAC this year and maybe we have played the three toughest PAC games we will play this year. (I hope) But who knows.  This season has been full of surprises and revelations.

On another note:

Did Keith McGill play at all?  I'm disappointed in him thus far this season.

Jon Hays?  A lot of bad decisions.  I guess there is a reason he was slatted to play to Nebraska-Omaha?  A few years of bad QB recruiting is catching up to us...

Disappointed in Reggie Dunn.  Catch the ball and hold on to it...

John Cullen still sucks...

White IV ran hard and that strip was legit...
