Hi guys!
I am writing a story and I am trying to come up with the best signs you have ever seen at a BYU/Utah basketball game. I don't know what it is, but basketball brings out the best in people's sign making ability.
Here are my favorites:
"Obey the Word of Drisdom" - a play on words with the LDS Church's "Word of Wisdom".
"I hope they tattoo me on my mission, so I can play for BYU!"- a dig at "Elder 8 Mile" Travis Hansen and a parody of the LDS primary song "I hope they call me on a mission"
My sister once saw a homeless guy on campus who had a sign that simply said "BYU is not very good". Hey gotta give the guy credit. I'd be more likely to give to him than the guy who says "Ill be honest, I need a beer" or "Disabled, help needed, God Bless". Yawn...........talk about unoriginal.
Ok, now on to the BYU side:
My all-time favorite one from a BYU fan was the guy who had a picture of Beaker from the muppets next to a picture of Luke Nevill and it simply said "long lost brothers?" or "twins seperated at birth?" can't remember, but it was hilarious because the pictures were actually VERY similar....
Another favorite was the sign that said "Hey Bogut, Tim Frost's Mom called, she wants her wig back."
Priceless! Anyway, what are some of your all-time favorites?
