That would be nice...

Uniting toward a common goal! I hope we are gonna keep seeing this development…. last night was a blast! It was really nice to see the fans show up and get into the game.

Who's we...?

That is absolutely not the case. I’m not sure where that one got started but it is not true. Having identified myself (to the best of my ability… sans fingerprints) as the coach’s brother, it would be an ugly situation if I were behind most of CC’s comments denegrating him as a coach and being a poor choice for Utah. What would that possibly accomplish? We usually hear from CC when there is negativity to build on, real or imagined. I can’t take it lying down!

Big games from...

Farr, Martin, and Washburn.

And Storey out played Jiggy, just sayin’.

Outscored, yes; Outplayed, I don't know

Jiggy had 8 assists and created a lot of wide open shots for team mates on draw and kick action. Storey played good defense and did a lot of good things but he only outplayed Jiggy if only points matter.

Jiggy plays no defense and shot something like 1-10 from the floor...

yes he had a bunch of assists, but I think Storey had 6 or 7 too, along with 0 turnovers and solid defense. He outplayed Jiggy, and not just on the scoreboard.

Seriously?

However, #1 Syracuse is taking on NC State this afternoon. There’s a real game.

Oh, sorry we’re talking about the Utes. Beating one of the worst teams in the Big Sky? OK, we do have to start somewhere.

But go Orange.

Go Cuse. Go Utes. Go Kings (hockey version). Go Panthers (hockey version). Go Marlins. Go Dodgers. I despise the NFL and NBA, so don't bore me.

I thought that big Polish guy

might give our guys all kinds of trouble just because he was 7’4," but he only played 12 minutes, scored two points, and got zero rebounds.

YAY!!! For now, Big Sky. TOMORROW, THE WORLD!

Glad you got the W! Doesn’t matter who you took it from; the U has had more challenges that almost any other DI team in the nation this year.

I think Utes see their glory days through rose-colored glasses. However, that’s the first step to getting back to those days. Keep going to games. Cheer them on even when they look like a high-school team. Proudly claim your Runnin’ Utes. Make them feel the love. Give them somebody to play for. You may not be Pac-12 champs overnight (or in the foreseeable future,) but it will get better (with the aid of BCS money and some experience). Anyway, what kind of a fan would you be if you only show them love when they are winning?

For anybody who remembers my past comments about the b-ball legacy the Utes and Pac-12 have: Okay, so… I had a long debate with a friend of mine about Pac-12 and Utes and B-ball. He made some good points, aided by, um, actual facts…. And I may have adjusted my views somewhat… Aight, fine; I was wrong. Pac-12 are more of a b-ball force than I have been giving them credit for, and Utes do have a history of being fierce ballers. Sorry for maligning your history. I was only looking at the history since 2005. Utes made regular deep runs in March many times in the 90’s and have been regular players there until 2005. I kinda overlooked that. Humblest apologies. Pac-12 haven’t looked hot in recent years either, but there’s still tons of mid-major power with recent respectable records, not to mention history. I still think that most Utes overplay their history on the court, and that Pac-12 is not as strong in hoops as the other BCS conferences, but that’s not saying much.

Still, I’m a frikkin’ Zoobie, but I’m rooting for the Utes. I think that this season will hold many surprises. I hope that they are pleasant ones.
